The Bishnupur gharana is a form of singing that follows the dhrupad tradition of Hindustani music, one of the two forms of Indian classical music.

The Jaipur-Atrauli Gharana is an Hindustani music apprenticeship fraternity (gharana), founded by Alladiya Khan in the late-19th century. Evolved from the dhrupad tradition, but known for khayal, this gharana is known for producing acclaimed musicians like Kesarbai Kerkar, Mogubai Kurdikar, Mallikarjun Mansur, Kishori Amonkar, and Ashwini Bhide-Deshpande. Consequently, this gharana developed a reputation for its distinctive vocal aesthetics, raga repertoire, and technical aptitude.

Ustad Amanat Ali Khan was a Pakistani classical and ghazal singer, from the Patiala gharana. Singing duo of both brothers Amanat Ali Khan and Bade Fateh Ali Khan were together honoured with the 'Pride of Performance' award by the President of Pakistan back in 1969. He stands with great singing icons like Mehdi Hassan and Ahmed Rushdi and left behind hundreds of classical and semi-classical songs for the public to remember him by.

Ustad Bade Fateh Ali Khan was amongst the foremost Khyal vocalists in Pakistan, and a leading exponent of the Patiala Gharana. He was the younger of the legendary singing duo Amanat Ali and Fateh Ali, who enjoyed immense prestige and success in Pakistan as well as India, until the sudden and unexpected death of Amanat Ali Khan in 1974 (1932-1974).

Ustad Faiyaz Khan was an Indian classical vocalist, an exponent of the Agra Gharana of Hindustani classical music. According to SwarGanga Music Foundation website, "By the time he died at Baroda, he had earned the reputation of being one of the greatest and most influential vocalists of the century."

Ustad Badruddin "Manji" Khan (1888–1937) was a Hindustani Classical vocalist of the Jaipur-Atrauli Gharana founded by his father, Ustad Alladiya Khan. "He was called 'Manji' because he was his father's Manjhala (middle) son."

Shafqat Ali Khan is a classical singer of the khyal vocal genre, from Pakistan, belonging to the Sham Chaurasia gharana.

The Mewati gharana is a musical apprenticeship tribe of Hindustani classical music. Known for being Pandit Jasraj's musical lineage, the gharana was founded by brothers Utd. Ghagge Nazir Khan and Utd. Wahid Khan (beenkar) of Indore in the late 19th century at the Holkar Court. Members of this gharana have had an active influence in Indian cinema for over half a century.
