Polona Hercog is a Slovenian professional tennis player. Her career-high WTA rankings are 35 in singles and 56 in doubles. She has won five titles on the WTA Tour, three in singles and two in doubles. Hercog also enjoyed success on the ITF Women's Circuit, winning 18 singles and five doubles titles.

Barbara Jezeršek is a Slovenian-born Australian cross country skier, currently representing Australia, who has competed since 2003. At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, she finished 14th in the 4 x 5 km relay, 17th in the 7.5 km + 7.5 km double pursuit, and 40th in the 10 km events.

Modrić is a Croatian surname primarily from Zadar-Benkovac area in North Dalmatia. In Zaton Obrovački in Benkovac area every third inhabitant had the family name Modrić, where also exist a hamlet Modrići. Today, circa 1930 people carry it, making it 212th most numerous surname in Croatia, almost doubling the 1948 census number, in almost all Croatian counties and many cities and villages, but mostly Zagreb, Glavice near Sinj, Rijeka, Zadar, Split, Obrovac among others, and less in Northern Croatia and Slavonia. According to some sources, the noble part of the family is from Podgorje area on the littoral slopes of Velebit, between Senj in the North and river Zrmanja in the South, where came at least in the 17th century from Dalmatia (Podzrmanje). Outside Croatia, due to migration the surname can be found in Algeria, United States, Germany, Austria, Argentina, Slovenia, France, Serbia, Italy, Australia and so on.

Tanya Joan Plibersek is an Australian politician who served as Deputy Leader of the Labor Party and Deputy Leader of the Opposition from 2013 to 2019. She has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Sydney since 1998. A member of the Labor Party, Plibersek served as a Cabinet Minister in the Rudd and Gillard Governments. She is currently the Shadow Minister for Education and Shadow Minister for Women.

Katarina Srebotnik is a Slovenian professional tennis player. She reached her career-high singles ranking of world No. 20 on 7 August 2006. On 4 July 2011, she reached No. 1 of the WTA doubles rankings, holding this ranking for 10 weeks.

Tamara Zidanšek is a Slovenian tennis player. She has career-high WTA rankings of World No. 33 in singles, achieved on 20 September 2021, and World No. 56 in doubles, achieved on 25 January 2021. She has won one singles title and three doubles titles on the WTA Tour and two WTA 125K singles titles, as well as 17 singles and four doubles titles on the ITF Circuit. On the junior tour, she was a top 20 junior and had a career-high ranking of No. 16, achieved in December 2015. Playing for Slovenia Fed Cup team, she has a win/loss record of 6–7.
