WSundanese is a Malayo-Polynesian language spoken by the Sundanese. It has approximately 40 million native speakers in the western third of Java; they represent about 15% of Indonesia's total population.
WBantenese language, Western Sundanese language or Western Sundanese dialect is a dialect of Sundanese language spoken by the Bantenese or Sundanese native to Banten and the western side of Bogor Regency. The western Bogor area comprises the Jasinga Raya region, which covers Jasinga, Cigudeg, Tenjo, Nanggung, Parungpanjang, Sukajaya districts and also the northwestern parts of Sukabumi Regency. The Bantenese language is the lingua franca of the Kasepuhan Ciptagelar traditional community in Cisolok subdistrict, and the Kasepuhan Banten Kidul traditional community.
WBuda Script or (Aksara Buda) or Gunung Script is an archaic script. Based on its shape, the Buda Script still has a close relationship with the Kawi script. This script was previously used on the island of Java and Bali. This type of script is called the Buda script because it is considered to have originated from the pre-Islamic era which is called the Buddhist Age. The word Buda is based on the Buddha word. Manuscripts containing writing using the Buda script are commonly found in mountainous areas. Because of that, this type of script is also called the "Mountain script".
WOld Sundanese is the earliest recorded stage of the Sundanese language which is spoken in the western part of Java. The evidence is recorded in inscriptions from around the 11th to 14th centuries and ancient lontar manuscripts from the 15th to 17th centuries AD. Old Sundanese is no longer used today, but has developed into its descendant, modern Sundanese.
WOld Sundanese script is a script that developed in West Java in the 14th–18th centuries which was originally used to write Old Sundanese language. The Old Sundanese script is a development of the Pallava script which has reached the stage of modifying its distinctive form as used in lontar texts in the 16th century.
WPegon is an Arabic script used to write the Javanese, Madurese, Sundanese and Indonesian languages, as an alternative to the Latin script or the Javanese script and the old Sundanese script. In particular, it was used for religious (Islamic) writing and poetry from the fifteenth century, particularly in writing commentaries of the Qur'an. Pegon includes symbols for sounds that are not present in Modern Standard Arabic. Pegon has been studied far less than its Jawi counterpart for Malay, Acehnese and Minangkabau.
WWikipedia is a Vindiafree multilingual open-source wiki-based online encyclopedia edited and maintained by a community of volunteer editors, started on 15 January 2001 as an English-language encyclopedia. Non-English editions were soon created: the German and Catalan editions were created on circa 16 March, the French edition was created on 23 March, and the Swedish edition was created on 23 May. As of November 2021, Wikipedia articles have been created in 325 editions, with 314 currently active and 11 closed.
