
Natsu "Salamander" Dragneel is a fictional character and protagonist of the Fairy Tail manga series created by Hiro Mashima. First making his debut in Fairy Tail chapter #1, "The Fairy's Tail", originally published in Japan's Weekly Shōnen Magazine on August 2, 2006, Natsu is depicted throughout the story as a member of the eponymous wizards' guild, who are notorious in the fictional kingdom of Fiore for their numerous accounts of causing unintentional property damage with their magic. Being a Dragon Slayer, Natsu possesses the same abilities as his foster father, the dragon Igneel, namely the ability to consume and envelop himself in fire. Natsu's predominant role in the series is to reunite with Igneel, who has been missing for seven years by the story's outset. Over the course of the series, Natsu learns about his connection to the immortal antagonist Zeref, including his heritage as Zeref's brother who was revived as a demon called "Etherious Natsu Dragneel" (E.N.D.). He appears in most Fairy Tail media, including both feature films, all original video animations (OVAs), light novels, and video games. He is voiced by Tetsuya Kakihara in Japanese, while Todd Haberkorn voices him in the English dub.
Guts is the protagonist from the manga Berserk by Kentaro Miura. Guts is a mercenary who travels from company to company and companionship to companionship. After meeting Griffith, Guts is defeated in battle by Griffith and is forced to join the Band of the Hawk as the latter proclaims he now "owns" him. The dynamic and turbulent relationship between Guts and Griffith, the leader of the Band of the Hawk, forms the primary focus of the manga. After the events of the Eclipse, during which he loses his left forearm and right eye, Guts seeks revenge on Griffith.

Lucy Heartfilia is a fictional character and protagonist of the Fairy Tail manga series created by Hiro Mashima. Lucy first makes her debut in Fairy Tail chapter #1, "The Fairy's Tail", originally published in Japan's Weekly Shōnen Magazine on August 2, 2006, as a teenage wizard and aspiring novelist who joins the titular guild because of its popularity, despite its members' tendency to cause unintentional property damage. As a celestial wizard, Lucy uses magical objects known as Gatekeys to summon celestial spirits, beings from another world that possess various abilities, such as powerful zodiac spirits that she summons with rare golden keys. Lucy's initial weapon is a whip with a heart-shaped extremity, which is later switched to an extendable celestial whip. Lucy appears in most Fairy Tail media, including both feature films, all original video animations (OVAs), light novels and video games. She is voiced by Aya Hirano in Japanese, while Cherami Leigh voices her in the English dub.
Isaac Dian and Miria Harvent are fictional characters in the light novel and anime series Baccano! written by Ryohgo Narita and illustrated by Katsumi Enami. Isaac and Miria are a pair of idiotic and eccentric lovers who dress up in costumes and commit strange robberies in Prohibition-era United States. In 1930, the duo are two of many characters who mistake an immortality elixir for alcohol and drink it at a celebration, inadvertently gaining immortality and eternal youth. The next year, they board the Flying Pussyfoot express train and survive the bloody hijacking that occurs. Isaac is arrested for various thefts in 1934 and imprisoned on Alcatraz Island. He is released the same year and reunites with Miria. The pair continue to live happily, finally realizing they are immortal in 2001. Isaac and Miria appear in the other media relating to the Baccano! franchise, including the video game, the two drama CDs and manga adaptation.

The O-Parts Hunter manga series, known as 666 Satan in Japan, features a cast of characters created by Seishi Kishimoto. Set in the near future, it tells the story of a teenage girl named Ruby Crescent who wants to become a treasure hunter, following in the footsteps of her father. Her objective is to find O-Parts, ancient relics that can only be used by O.P.T.s, people who are able to release their Spirit and focus it into an O-Part to activate a special Effect, usually of a fantastic nature. She meets a mysterious boy named Jio Freed who, due to having a dark, lonely past, seeks to conquer the world. Jio is hostile to her at first but ends up traveling with Ruby as her bodyguard.

Nausicaä, renamed Princess Zandra in the Warriors of the Wind English dub, is a fictional character from Hayao Miyazaki's science fiction manga series Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind and his anime film of the same name. Her story is set in the future on a post-apocalyptic Earth, where Nausicaä is the princess of the Valley of the Wind, a minor kingdom. She assumes the responsibilities of her ill father and succeeds him to the throne over the course of the story. Fueled by her love for others and for life itself, Nausicaä studies the ecology of her world to understand the Sea of Corruption, a system of flora and fauna which came into being after the Seven Days of Fire.

Rudeus Greyrat is the main protagonist of Rifujin na Magonote's novel series Mushoku Tensei. An unnamed 34-year-old Japanese NEET is abandoned by his family following his parents' death. Upon some self-introspection, he concluded his life was ultimately pointless but still intercepts a speeding truck heading towards a group of teenagers in an attempt to do something meaningful for once in his life and manages to pull one of them out of harm's way before dying. Awakening in a newborn baby, he realizes his being reincarnated in a world of sword and sorcery and resolves to become successful in his new life, keep hidden his past identity for his new life as Rudeus Greyrat. Due to inherited affinity and early training, Rudeus becomes highly skilled at magic due to his mother's influence, and sets out to enjoy life and overcome his past.
