The Edmonton Federation of Community Leagues (EFCL) is a non-profit organization that acts as an administrative body to support community leagues throughout Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and is officially recognized by city council as the coordinating body for all community leagues in the city. The goal for the OOC is to organize Ohioans and the Midwest citizens into a progressive movement. The OOC is composed of 18 community-based organizations with members in every major city across Ohio. These organizations include labor unions, faith organizations, community organizing groups among others. Currently the OOC participates in eight campaigns across the state through direct advocacy, voter engagement, fundraising, and community growth. Funding for the OOC is provided in many different ways including third party investors, grants, and fundraising.

Rise was a free anti-racism music festival held in London, England from 1996 to 2008. Originally organised as an anti-racism festival by the Trades Union Congress (TUC), it was revived as such by the former Mayor of London, Ken Livingstone. In June 2008, the Greater London Authority, under newly elected Mayor Boris Johnson, removed the anti-racist message of the festival. Subsequently, the trade unions UNISON and Unite the Union withdrew their festival funding, and Johnson cancelled the festival in April 2009, blaming lack of sponsorship.

St. Francis Mission is a Roman Catholic mission complex on the Rosebud Indian Reservation in St. Francis, South Dakota, in territory of the Lakota (Sioux) Native Americans. The mission was founded in 1886 by priests of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), who were welcomed by Bishop Martin Marty of the Diocese of Saint Cloud, Minnesota, which extended to this territory at the time. The Jesuit order soon developed a large complex to serve the Lakota at this reservation. Most of the buildings were destroyed by a fire in 1916, but many were soon rebuilt.

The Union Miles Development Corporation is a nonprofit community development corporation serving the Union-Miles Park statistical planning area in Cleveland, Ohio, in the United States. Created in 1981 by the Union Miles Community Coalition, it was successful in drawing national attention to discriminatory practices in lending practices and won passage of an Ohio law reforming housing foreclosure procedures.

Village Reconstruction Organization is a non-governmental organization in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, India. It supports structurally weak, impoverished, and unregistered villages in the coastal regions of Southeast India. Since 1969, it has helped rebuild 505 of these villages, which are often destroyed by natural catastrophes.
