It is the premier women's football competition in the AFC region for national teams. The competition is also known as the Asian Women's Football Championship and the Asian Women's Championship. 19 tournaments have been held, with the current champions being Japan. The competition also serves as a qualifying tournament for the FIFA Women's World Cup.

The 2020 AFF Championship will be the 13th edition of the AFF Championship, the football championship of nations affiliated to the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF), and the 7th under the name AFF Suzuki Cup.

The 2020 Arab Club Champions Cup Final was the final match of the 2019–20 Arab Club Champions Cup, the 29th season of the Arab League's main club football tournament organised by UAFA, and the 2nd season since it was renamed from the Arab Club Championship to the Arab Club Champions Cup. It was played at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat. The match was originally scheduled to be played in 2020 but due was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic which caused postponements during the semi final stage of the competition. Moroccan club Raja Casablanca beat Saudi side Al-Ittihad Jeddah 4–3 on penalties after a 4–4 draw to earn their second Arab Club Champions Cup title.

The 2022 Copa CONMEBOL Libertadores will be the 63rd edition of the CONMEBOL Libertadores, South America's premier club football tournament organized by CONMEBOL.

The 2021 Copa Libertadores Final will be the final match which decide the winner of the 2021 Copa Libertadores. This will be the 62nd edition of the Copa Libertadores, the top-tier South American continental club football tournament organized by CONMEBOL.

The 2021 FIFA Arab Cup is scheduled to be the 10th edition of the Arab world's national team football tournament; it will be the first edition with the FIFA Arab Cup branding. It is scheduled to take place between 30 November and 18 December in Qatar, as a prelude to the 2022 FIFA World Cup which will also be held in Qatar.

The tournament will be jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand and is scheduled to take place from 20 July to 20 August 2023. The 2023 tournament will see the Women's World Cup expanded from 24 to 32 teams.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup is scheduled to be the 22nd running of the FIFA World Cup competition, the quadrennial international men's football championship contested by the national teams of the member associations of FIFA. It is scheduled to take place in Qatar from 21 November to 18 December 2022. This will be the first World Cup ever to be held in the Arab world, and it will be the second World Cup held entirely in Asia after the 2002 tournament in South Korea and Japan. The tournament will be jointly hosted by 16 cities in three North American countries; 60 matches, including the quarterfinals, semi-finals, and the final, will be hosted by the United States while neighboring Canada and Mexico will each host 10 matches. The tournament will be the first hosted by three nations. This tournament will be the first to include 48 teams, expanded from 32.

Due to the postponement and relocation of the 2020 final, the final hosts were shifted back a year, with London instead hosting the 2024 final.

The 2025 UEFA Champions League Final will be the final match of the 2024–25 UEFA Champions League, the 70th season of Europe's premier club football tournament organised by UEFA, and the 33rd season since it was renamed from the European Champion Clubs' Cup to the UEFA Champions League. It will be played at Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany in May 2025.

The 2024 UEFA European Football Championship, commonly referred to as UEFA Euro 2024 or simply Euro 2024, will be the 17th edition of the UEFA European Championship, the quadrennial international men's football championship of Europe organised by UEFA. Germany will host the tournament, which is scheduled to take place from 14 June to 14 July 2024. It would be the third time that European Championship matches are played on German territory and the second time in reunified Germany as the former West Germany hosted the tournament of 1988, and four matches of the multi-national Euro 2020 were played in Munich; however, it would be the first time the competition is held in the former East Germany with Leipzig as a host city.

The 2022 UEFA European Under-17 Championship will be the 19th UEFA European Under-17 Championship, the annual international youth football championship organised by UEFA for the men's under-17 national teams of Europe. Israel will host the tournament. A total of 16 teams will play in the tournament, with players born on or after 1 January 2005 eligible to participate.

Bosnia and Herzegovina will host the tournament. A total of eight teams will play in the tournament, with players born on or after 1 January 2005 eligible to participate.

The Czech Republic will host the tournament. A total of eight teams will play in the tournament, with players born on or after 1 January 2003 eligible to participate.
