Kaldur'ahm, or Kaldur for short, is one of two fictional superheroes codenamed Aqualad and Aquaman in media published by DC Entertainment. The character was created by Brandon Vietti, Greg Weisman and Phil Bourassa for the television series Young Justice, and voiced by Khary Payton. His name is a reference to the character Calvin "Cal" Durham, formerly a henchman of the supervillain Black Manta who was sent to infiltrate Atlantis, but defected to the Atlanteans.

Aquaman is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Created by Paul Norris and Mort Weisinger, the character debuted in More Fun Comics #73. Initially a backup feature in DC's anthology titles, Aquaman later starred in several volumes of a solo comic book series. During the late 1950s and 1960s superhero-revival period known as the Silver Age, he was a founding member of the Justice League. In the 1990s Modern Age, writers interpreted Aquaman's character more seriously, with storylines depicting the weight of his role as king of Atlantis.

Yes! PreCure 5 is a Japanese anime series and the fourth installment in Izumi Todo's Pretty Cure metaseries produced by Toei Animation, featuring the third generation of Cures. The series aired on TV Asahi between February 2007 and January 2008 and was followed by a sequel season, Yes! PreCure 5 GoGo! , which made up the franchise's fifth installment and aired between February 2008 and January 2009. Both series were directed by Toshiaki Komura and written by Yoshimi Narita. The character designs were done by Toshie Kawamura, who would go on to work on the character designs for Smile PreCure! and Hug! Pretty Cure. The illustration book of her works was released on February 12, 2014. A manga adaptation was serialized in Kodansha's monthly Nakayoshi magazine. The series has made use of butterflies as the main motif whilst GoGo!'s main motif is roses.

Garth is a fictional character from DC Comics, originally known as Aqualad since his first appearance in 1960, but later went by the alias Tempest. As Aqualad, he was the teen sidekick and protégé to his guardian, the super-hero known as Aquaman, bearing the same superpowers as his mentor that allowed him to breathe underwater and communicate with marine life. He also possessed superhuman strength and speed that allowed him to move through the ocean with ease while withstanding the high-pressure depths of the ocean. As Tempest, he lost the marine communication power, but gained mystic-based abilities that allowed him to control the temperature of water and moisture around him, as well as the ability to emit destructive force beams from his eyes. As the adoptive Prince of Atlantis, he had, at times, been forced to assume his mentor's responsibilities as ruler of the oceans during Aquaman's absences, and has, in recent years, acted as Atlantis' official ambassador to the surface world.

Hydro-Man is a fictional supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character is usually depicted as an enemy of the superhero Spider-Man. Once an ordinary crewman, Morris Bench was accidentally knocked overboard while stationed on his ship during a battle between Spider-Man and Namor, and fell into the ocean, where a powerful experimental generator was being tested. This led to his transformation into Hydro-Man who, blaming Spider-Man for what happened to him, turned to a life of crime while seeking revenge against the web-slinger.

She is the triplet sister of Niki Sanders and Barbara, all three having been genetically modified by Dr. Zimmerman and separated at birth. She is also a biological aunt of Micah Sanders. According to writers Joe Pokaski and Aron Coleite, Niki was written out of the series and replaced with Tracy so that Larter could play a different role, as they realized that they could not go further with the character. The change also allowed them to tell an origin story, where the character discovers that she has powers.
