Angelique is a Japanese media franchise based on the video game series. Currently, the series has only been released in Japan, with the exception of a Chinese PC version of the first game in the series. It is somewhat popular with overseas import gamers, who have started petitions in the hopes of English-translated releases of various games in the series. KOEI mentioned in an issue of Newtype USA that it is a possibility if enough demand is shown.

A special box set version containing drama CDs, titled Angelique Luminarise Treasure Box, was released on the same day as the standard physical and download versions. It is the first new entry in the main Angelique series in 18 years. Publications, as well as KOEI Tecmo, have referred to the title as Anmina (アンミナ) for short. A trial version was published on the Nintendo e-shop on May 6, 2021.

The "Original Mode" of the game also features mecha from the non-UC series Mobile Fighter G Gundam, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing and Turn A Gundam. A newly designed non-SD Musha Gundam designed by Hajime Katoki is also included.

Players could assume one side of the Pacific Theater of Operations during World War II, acting as naval commander, organizing fleets, building new ships, appropriating supplies and fuel, and even engaging in diplomacy with other countries. The player can choose one of several World War Two battles to simulate, or could control the entire Pacific campaign well before the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.
