
Asuka Historical National Government Park is a National Government Park established in Asuka, Nara Prefecture, Japan in 1974. The park comprises five areas: the Amakashi-no-Oka Area, where there is an observatory with a view over the old capitals of Asuka and Fujiwara-kyō and of Yamato Sanzan; the Iwaido Area, similarly with views to Yamato Sanzan as well as over the terraced rice fields of "Inner Asuka"; the Ishibutai Area; the Takamatsuzuka Area; and the Kitora Tumulus Area.

Japan Echo was an English-language periodical on Japanese issues which was initially published in print form by Japan Echo Inc. between 1974 and 2010. Consisting mainly of translations into English of magazine and news articles originally published in Japanese, Japan Echo was launched with the support of Japan's Foreign Affairs Ministry "to enable people abroad to learn what the Japanese themselves are thinking and writing about the issues of the day." Though independently published, the Japanese government provided most of Japan Echo's funding for the duration of its existence.

The collection includes some five thousand items relating to the shugendō practices of Mount Kubote , a National Historic Site, and of Japan more generally and there is also material relating to Buzen Kagura, an Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property. In November 2017 the museum closed for several months for works on the ageing building and in February 2018 Buzen City appealed to the prefectural government for funds for a replacement facility.

Microman was a science fiction toyline created, manufactured and marketed by Takara Co., Ltd. from 1974 to 1984 as well as from 1998 to 2007. The Microman line was a series of 3.75-inch-tall (9.5 cm) action figures with accompanying vehicles, robots, playsets and accessories. Unlike other toylines at the time, Microman figures were marketed as being the "actual" size of cyborg beings called "Micros" that hailed from a fictional planet known as "Micro Earth" and disguised themselves as action figures while on planet Earth.

Mizunami Fossil Museum is a museum of fossils in Mizunami, Gifu Prefecture, Japan. The Museum, which opened in 1974, has a special focus on the palaeoenvironment of the area and on the fossils of the Miocene Mizunami Group. The collection includes some 250,000 fossils, of which around 3,000 are included in the permanent display.

Nara Prefectural Museum of Folklore opened in Yamatokōriyama, Nara Prefecture, Japan, in 1974. Located at the foot of the Yata Hills within the 26.6 hectare Yamato Folk Park (大和民俗公園), the Museum collects, preserves, and displays artefacts relating to everyday life in Nara Prefecture from the Edo period to the Shōwa 40s. Among the forty-two thousand objects in the collection are 1,908 relating to forestry in the Yoshino District that have been jointly designated an Important Cultural Property. In the adjacent park are fifteen Edo-period minka, relocated from elsewhere in the prefecture, including the Former Usui Family Residence (旧臼井家住宅) (ICP).

The collection focuses on the local branch of the Date clan, who from 1615 and the time of Date Hidemune were daimyō of the Uwajima Domain, and includes a Momoyama-period painting of Toyotomi Hideyoshi that has been designated an Important Cultural Property.

The Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line is a subway line in Japan owned and operated by Tokyo Metro. The line connects Wakōshi Station in Wakō, Saitama and Shin-Kiba Station in Kōtō, Tokyo. On maps, diagrams and signboards, the line is shown using the color "gold", and its stations are given numbers using the letter "Y".
