Tamil cinema, also known as Kollywood, is the Indian filmmaking industry of Tamil-language motion pictures. It is based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, in the Kodambakkam neighbourhood, leading to the industry's nickname Kollywood, the word being a portmanteau of Kodambakkam and Hollywood.

SP Cinemas is an Indian film production and distribution company based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It was established in 2017 by S. P. Sankar. He has acted as a hero in four films in Imsai Arasan 23rd Pulikecei (2006), Indiralohathil Na Azhagappan (2008), Tenaliraman (2014) and Eli (2015).

Vauhini Studios is an Indian film production company, and one of the largest production houses in South Asia at that time. Vauhini Studios was founded by Moola Narayana Swamy an Indian film producer, known for his works in Telugu cinema. In later years, B. Nagi Reddy acquired Vauhini Studios, and later merged it with Vijaya Vauhini Studios.
