The Felyne is a fictional species in the Monster Hunter video game series developed by Capcom. They accompany player characters, or "hunters", and can act as AI-controlled backup. Felynes who partner with a hunter are known as Felyne Comrades or Palicoes and wear miniature suits of armor. Felynes have become a popular mascot for the series, and have featured in spin-off games, many cross-promotions with other Capcom and non-Capcom video games, and various Japanese consumer products.

Monster Hunter Frontier Online , later renamed as Monster Hunter Frontier Z, was a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) for Microsoft Windows, the first spin-off in the Monster Hunter franchise to appear on the platform. Monster Hunter Frontier was released on the Xbox 360 in Japan on June 24, 2010, where it sold 93,000 copies during its initial launch week. It was continually updated through expansion packs known as Seasons and Forwards, which introduced new locations, armor sets, and new monsters. Monster Hunter Diary: Poka Poka Airou Village is a spin-off installment in the Monster Hunter series, developed by FromSoftware and published by Capcom for the PlayStation Portable. It was released in Japan on August 26, 2010. The word airou is the Japanese equivalent of felyne, a fictional sapient cat species that appears in the Monster Hunter games. The player gives orders to the felynes to progress to the end of quests instead of having direct control over them. The game uses a more cartoonish art style as opposed to the more realistic style seen in the main Monster Hunter games. More emphasis is placed on style and village management. A few Hello Kitty items are also available in the game.

Monster Hunter Generations is an action role-playing game developed and published by Capcom for the Nintendo 3DS. Announced in May 2015, the game was released in Japan as Monster Hunter X in November 2015 and internationally in July 2016. Like other titles in the Monster Hunter series, players undertake quests that involve hunting large dangerous creatures, either solo or in multiplayer. Major additions in this installment include special attacks, new combat styles, and the ability to play as Felynes who have traditionally only appeared as a companion to the player. Although it retains the core gameplay of previous mainline entries, Monster Hunter Generations is considered a spinoff title according to the developers. An expanded version of the game, titled Monster Hunter XX, was announced in October 2016, and was released exclusively in Japan in March 2017. An HD port of the expanded rerelease for the Nintendo Switch, titled Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, was released in Japan in August 2017 followed by a worldwide release in August 2018. The game has sold more than 8 million units worldwide, as of September 2020.

Monster Hunter Portable 3rd is the third handheld installment in the Monster Hunter franchise, developed by Capcom for the PlayStation Portable. Like its predecessor, Monster Hunter Freedom 2, Portable 3rd is an original title that adapts the core content of Monster Hunter Tri into a new single player campaign, adding supplemental original content. The game introduces new regions, monsters, and a revised Felyne combat system.

Monster Hunter Rise is an action role-playing game developed and published by Capcom for the Nintendo Switch. It is the sixth mainline installment in the Monster Hunter series and was released worldwide in March 2021. A Microsoft Windows version was released in January 2022. An expansion, Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak is scheduled for release in mid-2022.

Monster Hunter Stories is a role-playing video game developed by Capcom and Marvelous and published by Capcom for the Nintendo 3DS. It is a spinoff title in the Monster Hunter series, but features a drastically different gameplay focus. Unlike previous titles in the franchise, Monster Hunter Stories lets players take on the role of a Rider instead of a Hunter, and are able to take part in a traditional turn-based battle system. Major changes and additions featured in this title include hatching eggs and befriending monsters, battling alongside them, executing special kinship techniques, and customizing monsters' abilities and appearance. The game was released in Japan on October 8, 2016, and in North America, Europe and Australia in September 2017. Later, a high-definition mobile version of the game was released on December 4, 2017 in Japan and September 25, 2018 worldwide. The Nintendo 3DS version includes support with Amiibo figures, with a first set launching alongside the game, and a second set launching two months later. A similarly named anime series is a loose adaptation of this game, and a sequel for the Nintendo Switch and Microsoft Windows was released in 2021.

Monster Hunter: World is an action role-playing game developed and published by Capcom and the fifth mainline installment in the Monster Hunter series. It was released worldwide for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in January 2018, with a Microsoft Windows version following in August 2018. In the game, the player takes the role of a Hunter, tasked to hunt down and either kill or trap monsters that roam in one of several environmental spaces. If successful, the player is rewarded through loot consisting of parts from the monster and other elements that are used to craft weapons and armor, amongst other equipment. The game's core loop has the player crafting appropriate gear to be able to hunt down more difficult monsters, which in turn provide parts that lead to more powerful gear. Players may hunt alone or in a group of up to four players via the game's online multiplayer.

Monster Hunter Orage is a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Hiro Mashima. Loosely based on the Monster Hunter series of video games by Capcom, Monster Hunter Orage premiered in Kodansha's shōnen manga magazine Shōnen Rival in April 2008.
