Keizo Miura was a Japanese skier. He was a skiing teacher and photographer of mountain landscapes. He was notable for his fitness and outdoor-sport undertakings at advanced age; at 77 he was the oldest person to climb Kilimanjaro and at 99 descended a Gletscher of Mont Blanc together with his oldest son Yuichiro and grandson Yuta. Yuichiro Miura was also the oldest person to climb Mount Everest and the Himalayas, at age 70, at age 75 and later at age 80. Keizo Miura wrote two books on his health routine, one of them co-written with his physician. On February 15, 2004, Keizo Miura celebrated his hundredth birthday with a ski descent together with more than 170 friends and family members, including four generations of his family, at Snowbird ski resort in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States. Keizo died 41 days short of his 102nd birthday.

Daisuke Murakami is a Japanese snowboarder who competes in the half-pipe event. He represented Japan at the 2002 Winter Olympics, where he placed 19th. He won the 2009–10 FIS Snowboard World Cup event in Kreischberg, Austria, his first career World Cup victory. He won the half-pipe event at the 2003 Asian Winter Games, the first time the event was contested.

Hideaki Nagai is a Japanese Nordic combined skier. He was born in Hachimantai in the Iwate Prefecture. He competed at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2013 in Val di Fiemme, and at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. He competed at the 2018 Winter Olympics, where he placed 12th in Individual large hill/10 km, 14th in Individual normal hill/10 km, and fourth with the Japanese team in the Team large hill/4 × 5 km.

Takako Oguchi is a Japanese skeleton racer who has competed since 2003 and joined the Japanese national team in 2005. She uses a Bromley sled. She married in 2015.

Miyabi Onitsuka is a Japanese snowboarder. She won a gold medal in slopestyle at the FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championships 2015. She started snowboarding professionally in 2005.
Hiroshi Suzuki is a Japanese bobsledder who has competed since 1992. Competing in four Winter Olympics, he earned his best finish of 18th in both the two-man and four-man events at Lillehammer in 1994. Suzuki was eligible to compete for the 2006 Winter Olympics for Japan, but lost out to fellow bobsledder Suguru Kiyokawa.

Mikito Tachizaki is a Japanese biathlete. He competed in the 2018 Winter Olympics. He serves in the Japan Self-Defense Forces and is married to fellow biathlete Fuyuko Tachizaki.

Tomoka Takeuchi is a Japanese competitive snowboarder from Asahikawa, Hokkaido. She won the silver medal in the Women's Parallel Giant Slalom in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, she placed 5th in the Women's Parallel Giant Slalom.

Takehiro Watanabe is a Japanese Nordic combined skier. He was born in Aizuwakamatsu, Fukushima. He competed in the World Cup 2015 season.
