Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the current Ruler of Dubai and the prime minister of the United Arab Emirates, wants Dubai to become the top tourist destination in the world. Dubai received 14 million tourists from all around the world in 2015. Euromonitor ranked the world's 150 most visited cities by international tourists in 2009; Dubai ranked 7th. Dubai hosted a record 10 million visitors in 2012, an increase of 9.3% from the previous year. Dubai's economy relies on many sections of the "state", one of the most important being tourism, in 2014 total 70,475,636 passengers traveled through Dubai Airport. To maintain this important position in the tourism industry they have been known to create big and impressive tourist attractions.
WAin Dubai is the world's largest and tallest observation wheel located on Bluewaters Island, near the Dubai Marina in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
WAt the Top is an outdoor observation deck on the Burj Khalifa. It opened on 5 January 2010 on the 124th floor. At 452 m (1,483 ft), it was the highest outdoor observation deck in the world when it opened.
WThe Deira Corniche is a waterfront promenade in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Deira Corniche, sometimes also referred to as the Dubai Corniche lies in northeastern Dubai, in Deira. The Deira Corniche is flanked to the north by the Persian Gulf and consists of a broad pedestrian walkway that extends to the Dubai Creek.
WDubai Dolphinarium is the first fully air-conditioned indoor dolphinarium in the Middle East, providing habitat to dolphins and seals, allowing the public to watch and interact with them through live shows and photo sessions. It is located in the creek side park at Bur Dubai near the Children's City. Dubai Dolphinarium was opened on May 21, 2008 by Dubai Municipality, and is sponsored and supported by Dubai government to provide the general public with entertainment and also educate them regarding dolphins, seals and other marine organisms. It was also reflected that interacting with such friendly mammals like dolphins will motivate young generation to protect marine life and the environment.
WThe Dubai Frame is an architectural landmark in Zabeel Park, Dubai. It holds the record for the largest frame in the world. Whilst described by The Guardian newspaper as "the biggest picture frame on the planet,” it is also controversial as the "biggest stolen building of all time.”
WDubai Gold Souk or Gold Souk, is a traditional market in Dubai, UAE. The souk is located in Dubai's commercial business district in Deira, in the locality of Al Dhagaya. The souk consists of over 380 retailers, most of whom are jewelry traders. Some of the shops are as old as four decades, while some are as new as a year. The major items of mall includes Gold, Platinum, Diamonds and sometimes also deals in silver.
WDubai Spice Souk or the Old Souk is a traditional market in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The Spice Souk is located in Deira, in eastern Dubai, and is adjacent to the Dubai Gold Souk. The Spice Souk is in the locality of Al Ras, on Baniyas Street. The souk comprises several narrow lanes which are lined with open and closed-roof stores, and is a tourist attraction.
WThe Dubai Textile Souk is a traditional souq (market) of textile products in Dubai's historic Bur Dubai neighbourhood, along the Dubai Creek. It is located in the United Arab Emirates. Opposite to the textile souk on the other side of the Dubai Creek lie the Dubai Spice Souk and Dubai Gold Souk in Deira, accessible via the creek by special abra boats. It is open 10Am to 10 pm Saturday to Thursday with some vendors taking a lunch break from 1-4pm and Friday is 4 pm to 10Pm only. The souks of Dubai have a rich history of trade within the Persian Gulf region and have developed over time as Dubai urbanised rapidly.
WThe elephant clock was a medieval invention by Ismail al-Jazari (1136–1206), an engineer and inventor of various clocks. The device consisted of a weight powered water clock in the form of an Asian elephant. The various elements of the clock are in the housing (howdah) on top of the elephant. In China a clock escapement mechanism was invented by the polymath Buddhist monk Yi Xing. Hydraulically powered waterwheels and water clocks were also used in the mechanically driven and rotated equatorial armillary sphere of Zhang Heng and Ma Jun. The elephant clock had some design differences compared to earlier waterclocks.

WIMG Worlds of Adventure is an indoor amusement park in the United Arab Emirates in Dubai. It is Dubai's first mega themed entertainment destination. The park is divided into five "epic zones". Two of the five zones represent global brands Cartoon Network and Marvel, while IMG Boulevard and the Lost Valley – Dinosaur Adventure zones are original concepts created by the IMG Group. Novo Cinema is the fifth section of IMG Worlds of Adventure and agreement was signed between Novo Cinema and IMG World of Adventure in May 2015. The park has no connection to the multinational talent management agency IMG, and "IMG" stands for initials of the founding family.
WJumeira Beach is a white sand beach that is located and named after the Jumeirah district of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on the coast of the Persian Gulf. It stretches along the coast south of the city's historic district to the junction with The Palm Jumeirah and terminates between the southern end of the Jumeirah Beach Residence and the port facilities at Jebel Ali.
WLegoland Dubai is a theme park in Dubai. It opened on October 31, 2016. It is the first Legoland park in the Middle East and was the seventh worldwide. The park was originally scheduled to open in 2011 in Dubailand as Legoland Dubailand, but was then delayed until October 2016 and is now located at Dubai Parks and Resorts as Legoland Dubai.
WOrbi Dubai is an interactive visitor attraction in Mirdif City Centre in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is the third Orbi attraction in the world and the first to open outside of Japan.
WQueen Elizabeth 2, often referred to simply as QE2, is a retired British ocean liner converted into a floating hotel. Originally built for the Cunard Line, Queen Elizabeth 2 was operated by Cunard as both a transatlantic liner and a cruise ship from 1969 to 2008. She was then laid up until converted and since 18 April 2018 has been operating as a floating hotel in Dubai.
WThe Dubai Stars is a walk of fame which will be located along the pavement of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard in Downtown Dubai. The Dubai Stars was opened in October 2019 featuring 400 stars and will have 10,000 stars when completed.
