The Nishi-Shigi Cable Line , referred to as Nishi-Shigi Cable , is Japanese cable railway line in Yao, Osaka, owned and operated by Kintetsu Railway. The line, opened in 1930, makes a route to Chōgo Sonshi-ji temple on Mount Shigi. As the line name suggests, there once was Higashi-Shigi Cable Line as well. However, the eastern line was closed in 1983. The line does not accept PiTaPa or Surutto Kansai.

The Sankō Line was a railway line in western Japan operated by the West Japan Railway Company. The 108.1 km (67.2 mi) line connected Gōtsu in Shimane Prefecture to Miyoshi in Hiroshima Prefecture and featured 30 tunnels. Whilst the first section opened in 1930, the line was not completed until 1975. Owing to declining patronage, the entire rail line ceased operation on 31 March 2018, to be replaced by a bus service on 1 April 2018.

First established as Sekisui Kaikan (石水会館) in 1930, the museum was registered in accordance with the Museum Act in 1975, reorganized as a "public interest incorporated foundation" under its present name in 2010, and in the following year relocated from Marunouchi to Tarumi, reopening in new premises nestled in a wooded area of Mount Chitose in May 2011. The collection includes tea utensils, paintings, books, historical materials relating to the merchants of Ise Province, and items relating to potter and founder Kawakita Handeishi (1878–1963).

Tenri University Sankōkan Museum first opened in Tenri, Nara Prefecture, Japan, in 1930. Initially the Overseas Reference Materials Room (海外事情参考品室), it was renamed the Overseas Reference Materials Hall (海外事情参考品館) in 1938, taking its present name in 1950 when it came to be affiliated with Tenri University. The Museum reopened in a new building in 2001. The collection of over 280,000 objects includes ethnographic and archaeological material from Japan and the rest of the world, as well as transport-related artefacts. An offshoot, the Tenri Gallery (天理ギャラリー), opened in the Tokyo Tenri Building in Chiyoda, Tokyo in 1962.

The private company operates railway, tram, and bus services in the eastern part of the prefecture. It also operates as the agency of All Nippon Airways in Toyama area. The company has its root in Toyama Electric Railway founded in 1930. The current company was founded in 1943, when all the private and public operators of railway, tram, and bus lines in the prefecture were merged into one. In 1950, it founded Kaetsunō Railway, planning to build the railway line that links Toyama and Ishikawa. Chitetsu handed over its networks in the western part of Toyama Prefecture, although the plan never came into reality.
