West recorded much of the material at multiple locations in the summer of 2021, including Bighorn Mountain Ranch in Greybull, Wyoming. Guest vocals from the Sunday Service Choir, Jay-Z, Playboi Carti, Lil Baby, the Weeknd, Vory, DaBaby, and Marilyn Manson, among others, are featured. West and Ojivolta handled most of the production, with further conditions from the likes of BoogzDaBeast, Dem Jointz and Mike Dean.
