The Linked Ring was a British photographic society created to propose and defend that photography was just as much an art as it was a science, motivated to propelling photography further into the fine art world. The Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain, commonly known as the Royal Photographic Society (RPS), is one of the world's oldest photographic societies. It was founded in London, England, in 1853 as the Photographic Society of London with the objective of promoting the art and science of photography, and in 1853 received royal patronage from Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.

Sane Seven is a working name of a professional portrait and advertising photography duo in the UK consisting of artist and photographer Viktorija Grigorjevaite and Dr. Marius Janciauskas. The team formed in June 2014 in Liverpool.

The Tim Hetherington Trust was set up in 2012 by the late English photojournalist Tim Hetherington's parents Judith and Alistair. Stephen Mayes has been its executive director since 2013. The Trust's website states its mission is "to preserve the legacy of Tim’s professional life as a visual storyteller and human rights advocate" including "the support and nurture of new work that continues the ideals demonstrated by Tim with special emphasis on humanitarian and social concerns".
