Azampur is a region of New Dhaka, capital of Bangladesh. It is inside the area of Uttara.

Badda is a Thana of Dhaka District in the Division of Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was formed from parts in December 1998 from parts of Cantonment Thana and Gulshan Thana. Badda is adjacent to Rampura, Gulshan and Baridhara Thana.

Pantapath is an important east west road in Karwan Bazar area of Dhaka city, the capital of Bangladesh. It connects Tongi Diversion road, Mymenshing Road and Mirpur Road. It is home to one of South Asia's largest shopping centers, Bashundhara City. Other landmarks are Square Hospital, Samorita Hospital, Unique Trade Center, etc. Green Road intersects this road at about middle from north to south. There was originally a canal connecting Hatirjeel-Begunbari with Dhanmondi Lake. But in late 1980, this east–west road was constructed. The construction of the road completed in 1995. Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (FDC) and Hotel Pan Pacific Sonargaon are also located on the eastern section of this road. There are two mosques in Pantapath.

Ramna is a historic colonial neighborhood in central Dhaka. Once the site of Mughal gardens, it developed into an institutional area during British rule in the late 19th century. It became a focal point for Dhaka's modernization in the 1960s. It was the scene of many tumultuous events that ushered the independence of Bangladesh in 1971.

Shahbag or Shahbagh is a major neighbourhood and a police precinct or thana in Dhaka, the capital and largest city of Bangladesh. It is also a major public transport hub. It is a junction between two contrasting sections of the city—Old Dhaka and New Dhaka—which lie, respectively, to its south and north. It is also known as the 'capitol within the capital' due to it being the home to the National Parliament and Ganabhaban. The area has been named after A. K. Fazlul Huq, a renowned statesman and one of the most prominent political figures of Bangladesh who was popularly known as "Sher-e-Bangla". The thana was formed in 2009 from parts of Tejgaon, Kafrul and Mohammadpur thanas. Sher-e-Bangla Nagar is a busy commercial and central neighborhood in the city and home to many offices of government and public institutions, educational institutions, banks and financial institutions and shops.
