
Banjo & Kazooie are a pair of fictional characters and the eponymous protagonists of the video game series Banjo-Kazooie, created by British company Rare. Banjo and Kazooie were introduced as both player characters in the original Banjo-Kazooie (1998). Banjo is a bear accompanied by Kazooie, a bird, who is often seen seeking shelter in his backpack and emerging to perform various moves and attacks. The pair have gone on numerous adventures together, fighting against the sinister plans of the evil witch Gruntilda.

Beerus, God of Destruction is a character in the Dragon Ball franchise created by Akira Toriyama. Beerus made his first appearance in the 2013 feature film Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods as the main antagonist and returned as a supporting character in Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F', as well as one of the main characters in Dragon Ball Super. He is a God resembling a purple cat wearing traditional Egyptian clothing and ornaments, whose occupation is to maintain balance by destroying planets, in contrast to the Supreme Kais who create and preserve them.

Caminalcules are a fictive group of animal-like life forms, which were created as a tool for better understanding phylogenetics in real organisms. They were created by Joseph H. Camin and consist of 29 living 'species' and 48 fossil forms.

Cheburashka, also known as Topple in earlier English translations, is a fictional character created by Soviet writer Eduard Uspensky in his 1965 children's book Krokodil Gena i yevo druzia. The character subsequently appeared as the protagonist in a series of stop-motion animated films by Roman Kachanov, the first of which was made in 1969, with songs composed by Vladimir Shainsky.

Numerous types of animals have been portrayed as zombies - a zombie dog appeared in The Last Man on Earth in 1964, and an infected dog is the source of the zombie virus in REC (2007). Night of the Zombies (1984) features a scare from a zombie cat, as does Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse. A jump scare scene featuring zombie dogs in the first Resident Evil is considered to be a seminal horror scene in video game history.
