
A GPS satellite is a satellite navigation used by the NAVSTAR Global Positioning System (GPS). The first satellite in the system, Navstar 1, was launched on 22 February 1978. The GPS satellite constellation is operated by the 2d Space Operations Squadron (2SOPS) of Space Delta 8 of the United States Space Force.

As of August 2020, 75 Global Positioning System navigation satellites have been launched, 31 of which are operational, 9 in reserve, 3 being tested, 30 have been retired and 2 were lost at launch. The constellation requires a minimum of 24 operational satellites, and the official target count is 33. The GPS receiver needs 4 satellites to work out your position in 3-dimensions.

GPS IIR-1 or GPS SVN-42 was the first Block IIR GPS satellite to be launched. It was to have been operated as part of the United States Air Force Global Positioning System. It was launched on January 17, 1997, and was destroyed 13 seconds into its flight due to a malfunction of the Delta II rocket that was carrying it. It was estimated to have cost US$40 million, with its carrier rocket costing $55 million. The satellite that was used for the IIR-1 mission was the second production IIR satellite, SVN-42.

OPS 5111, also known as Navstar 1, NDS-1, GPS I-1 and GPS SVN-1, was an American navigation satellite launched in 1978 as part of the Global Positioning System development programme. It was the first GPS satellite to be launched, and one of eleven Block I demonstration satellites.

USA-132, also known as GPS IIR-2 and GPS SVN-43, is an American navigation satellite which forms part of the Global Positioning System. It was the second Block IIR GPS satellite to be launched, out of thirteen in the original configuration, and twenty one overall. It was the twenty-first and last Block IIR GPS satellite to be launched, and the eighth to use the modernised IIRM configuration.

USA-213, also known as GPS SVN-62, GPS IIF SV-1 and NAVSTAR 65, is the first satellite in the Block IIF series of Global Positioning System navigation satellites. It will be used to relay signals for the United States Air Force Navstar Global Positioning System (GPS). The satellite was launched at 03:00 UTC on 28 May 2010. It will be placed into plane B of the GPS constellation, and will transmit the PRN-25 signal. PRN-25 was previously broadcast by USA-79, which was retired in late 2009 after almost eighteen years of service.
