The Beekeeper of Aleppo is a 2019 novel by Christy Lefteri. It deals with the flight of refugees from Aleppo in Syria to Europe during the Syrian Civil War. While a work of fiction, it is based on the author's experience over two summers volunteering in Athens at a refugee center.

A 2017 Samsung poll ranked Girl with Balloon as the United Kingdom's number one favourite artwork.

It Will Be Chaos is an HBO documentary on the European refugee crisis directed by US-based Italian filmmakers Lorena Luciano and Filippo Piscopo. In 2019 It Will Be Chaos won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Current Affairs documentary at the 40th News & Documentary Emmy Awards. It Will Be Chaos also won the Best Directing Award at the 2018 Taormina Film Festival. Translated into over 10 languages, the documentary has been distributed worldwide.

The song was released as a digital download on 20 January 2018 through Low Wood and Play Two as the lead single from Madame Monsieur's second studio album Vu d'ici (2018). It represented France in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal finishing 13th with a total of 173 votes.

The Son of a Migrant from Syria is a 2015 mural by graffiti artist Banksy. The mural was located in the Calais jungle, a nickname for the encampment near Calais, France, where migrants lived as they attempted to enter the United Kingdom. The artwork depicts the late Apple co-founder and former CEO Steve Jobs—the son of a Syrian migrant to the United States—as a traveling migrant.

World of Darkness Preludes: Vampire and Mage is a series of two interactive fiction video games developed by White Wolf Entertainment and Fula Fisken: Vampire: The Masquerade – We Eat Blood and Mage: The Ascension – Refuge. They were released on February 15, 2017, individually for Android and iOS, and together as a set for Microsoft Windows, MacOS and Linux.
