Children's manga and children's anime refer to manga and anime directed towards children 10 years and under. These series are usually moralistic, often educating children about staying in the right path in life. Each chapter is usually a self-contained story. Notable examples include Doraemon and Hello Kitty.

100% Pascal-sensei is a Japanese gag comedy manga series written and illustrated by Yūji Nagai. it was serialized in Shogakukan's CoroCoro Comic magazine from January 15, 2015 to October 15, 2018, and has been compiled into seven tankōbon volumes on September 28, 2017. An anime television series adaptation by OLM, Inc. aired from April 15 to December 16, 2017.

Angel's Frypan is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Etsushi Ogawa. It was serialized in Kodansha's Comic Bom Bom, which was aimed at elementary-aged boys. The manga received the 2007 Kodansha Manga Award for the children's category.

Anpanman (アンパンマン) is a Japanese children's superhero picture book series written by Takashi Yanase, running from 1973 until the author's death in 2013. The series has been adapted into an anime entitled Soreike! Anpanman , which is one of the most popular anime series among young children in Japan. The series follows the adventures of Anpanman, a superhero with an anpan for a head, who protects the world from an evil anthropomorphic germ named Baikinman.

Armored Trooper VOTOMS is a military science fiction mecha anime series that has undergone several incarnations. The original 1983 television series was created by Ryosuke Takahashi and Sunrise, featuring mechanical designs by Kunio Okawara. Following directly in the footsteps of Takahashi's previous series, Fang of the Sun Dougram, VOTOMS continued the trend towards hard science in the mecha anime subgenre. The series was supplemented by numerous original video animation releases, and also inspired a number of spin-off works whose media ranges from serialized light novels to video games. The TV anime was originally licensed by the now-defunct Central Park Media who released the series on DVD and VHS. Currently, it is licensed by Maiden Japan, a unit of Section23 Films, who also released all OVA other then Armor Hunter Mellowlink.

Bakusō Kyōdai Let's & Go!! is a manga series created by Tetsuhiro Koshita, first serialized in Shogakukan's CoroCoro Comic magazine from July 1994 to October 1999. The manga centers on Retsu and Go Seiba, twin brothers who focus on the world of miniature car racing known as Mini 4WD. It is created as a tie-in to Tamiya's Mini 4WD franchise, and it is the second series to center on the franchise since Dash! Yonkuro.

Battle B-Daman is a manga series by Eiji Inuki which ran in CoroCoro Comics by Shogakukan from 2002 to 2005. An anime adaptation was released in January 2004 in Japan, replacing Explosive Shoot Beyblade G Revolution in its 18:00 timeslot. It premiered in the United States in April 2005. Like its predecessor, it is themed around an enhanced version of a traditional children's game – whereas Beyblade was based around spinning tops, Battle B-Daman is a dramatized version of marbles. It is the first show of the B-Daman series to be dubbed in English. In Japan, the second season, titled Battle B-Daman: Fire Spirits! , was superseded by Crash B-Daman, a new series with an all new cast and story.

Beyblade, known in Japan as Explosive Shoot Beyblade , is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Takao Aoki to promote sales of spinning tops called "Beyblades" developed by Takara Tomy. The series focuses on a group of kids who form teams with which they battle one another using Beyblades. Originally serialized in CoroCoro Comic from September 1999 to July 2004, the individual chapters were collected and published in 14 tankōbon by Shogakukan and was licensed for English-language release in North America by Viz Media.

Beyblade Burst is a Japanese manga and toyline created by Hiro Morita, originally based on Takara Tomy's Beyblade franchise. The third incarnation of the franchise after the Metal Fight series, the Beyblade Burst toyline launched on July 15, 2015 while the original manga was serialized in Shogakukan's children's manga magazine CoroCoro Comic in August 2015 and is currently compiled into sixteen tankōbon volumes. Shogakukan's South East Asian branch began publishing it in English in April 2017.

Cyborg Kuro-chan is a Japanese children's manga series created by Naoki Yokouchi, serialized in Kodansha's Comic BomBom magazine. Eleven volumes of the manga were released between 1998 and 2002. It centers on the titular character, a housecat who is kidnapped and modified by a mad scientist to be a part of a cyborg army bent on world domination. Kuro breaks his control chip, escapes and becomes a vigilante. Kuro has many allies, who help him out during instances such as urban destruction, parallel universes, outer space, and battles between other cats and cyborgs.

Diary of Mā-chan is a manga by Osamu Tezuka that began serialization in 1946.

Doraemon is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Fujiko Fujio, the pen name of the duo Hiroshi Fujimoto and Motoo Abiko. The series has also been adapted into a successful anime series and media franchise. The story revolves around an earless robotic cat named Doraemon, who travels back in time from the 22nd century to aid a boy named Nobita Nobi .

Duel Masters is a media franchise consisting of a manga, several anime series, a trading card game, and a video game. The original manga sold 4.5 million copies in Japan.

Flint the Time Detective, known in Japan as Jikū Tantei Genshi-kun , is an animated Japanese television series directed by Hiroshi Fukutomi. It was based on a manga by Hideki Sonoda and Akira Yamauchi and was published by Bros. Comics in Japan. A second manga by Bom Bom Comics was also produced and was released as a special promo for the anime. The anime aired from 1998 to 1999 in Japan and ran for 39 episodes.

Floral Magician Mary Bell , or known as Magical Heroes in some countries, is the fourth and last magical girl anime by Ashi Productions. The fifty-episode series first aired in Japan from 1992 until 1993. It has also been broadcast in Hong Kong, South Korea, Italy, Taiwan, China, France, Poland, Thailand, and in most Arab countries. The series was adapted as a theatrical film and two educational films. The DVD version was released on March 20, 2004.

Genki Bakuhatsu Ganbaruger is a 47 episode animated shōnen mecha television series, and the second series produced for the Eldran franchise funded by Tomy and produced by Sunrise. It aired on TV Tokyo from April 1, 1992 to February 24, 1993.

Idaten Jump is a Japanese manga series created by Toshihiro Fujiwara. It was serialized in Kodansha's Comic BomBom. The manga tells the story about a boy named Sho Yamato who loves mountain biking. It was adapted into a 52-episode anime series, produced by Aniplex and Trans Arts. It aired from October 1, 2005 to September 30, 2006. A toyline was also made by Tomy.

Idol × Warrior Miracle Tunes! is a Japanese tokusatsu television series that aired from April 2, 2017 to March 25, 2018 on TV Tokyo. The show is the first installment of the Girls × Heroine Series conceived by Takara Tomy and OLM, Inc. with the assistance of Shogakukan and EXPG Studio, aimed towards a female demographic between ages 2 to 6. The series is directed by Takashi Miike, supported by a staff full of newcomer screenwriters and directors, and stars Asaka Uchida, Suzuka Adachi, Yuzuha Oda, Rina Usukura, and Mio Nishiyama. The plot is centered on Japanese idol girl group Miracle², elementary and middle school girls who transform into Idol Warriors to retrieve the Sound Jewels, artifacts from the Music Kingdom, to stop the Demon King from taking over the world.

Inazuma Eleven is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tenya Yabuno based on a series of video games created by Level-5. The manga has been published by Shogakukan in CoroCoro Comic since the June 2008 issue. The manga series won the 2010 Kodansha Manga Award and 2011 Shogakukan Manga Award in the Children's Manga category.

Inazuma Eleven GO is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tenya Yabuno. It is based on the Level-5 video game series of the same title. The manga has been published by Shogakukan in CoroCoro Comic.

Kaiketsu Zorori is a Japanese children's book series created by Yutaka Hara and published by Poplar Publishing. The original books were also made into an OVA, animated feature-length films, anime, and comic.

Kirarin Revolution is a Japanese shōjo manga by An Nakahara. The series ran in Ciao from March 2004 to June 2009, with side stories running in Pucchigumi in 2006. The manga sold a cumulative total of over 10 million copies and was awarded Best Children's Manga at the 2006 Shogakukan Manga Awards.

Kiteretsu Daihyakka (キテレツ大百科) is a manga series by duo Fujiko Fujio which ran in the children's magazine Kodomo no Hikari from April 1974 to July 1977. The manga was later made into a 331-episode anime television series which ran on Fuji TV from 27 March 1988 to 9 June 1996. An English dub of the anime aired in India on Cartoon Network. Another English dub was made by a company under the name of "Thunder Unlimited" called Kevin and B.U.D.S.T.E.R and was released on various VCDs and DVDs. The series was licensed for Spain by LUK Internacional under the title of "Kiteretsu, el primo más listo de Nobita". As of September 2016, a remastered version of the series airs on Animax in Japan.

Little Ghost Q-Taro , by Fujiko Fujio, is a Japanese manga about an obake, Q-Taro who lives with the Ōhara family. Q-Taro, also known as Q-chan or Oba-Q, is a mischief-maker who likes to fly around scaring people and stealing food, though he is deathly afraid of dogs.

Magical × Heroine Magimajo Pures is a Japanese tokusatsu TV drama series that began airing on April 1, 2018 until March 24, 2019. It is the second installment of the Girls × Heroine Series produced by Takara Tomy and OLM, Inc. with the assistance of Shogakukan and EXPG Studio, following the success of Idol × Warrior Miracle Tunes! The show is aimed at a female demographic between the ages of 2 to 6. The series is directed by Takashi Miike and stars Yuki Miyoshi, Momoka Sumitani, Misaki Tsuruya, Youka Ogawa, and Kurea Masuda. The plot is centered on the Magimajo Pures, a group of middle school girls who transform into Magical Heroines to protect people's dreams from the Nuisance World.

Matchless Raijin-Oh is a 51 episode Japanese anime television series, and the first series produced for the Eldran franchise funded by Tomy and produced by Sunrise. It aired in Japan from April 3, 1991 to March 25, 1992. The story revolves around a group of elementary school children who are given command of a mecha named Raijin-Oh and their efforts to defend the Earth from the evil Jaaku (evil) Empire.

Medabots, known in Japan as Medarot , is a role-playing video game franchise created by Rin Horuma (Horumarin) and currently owned by Imagineer. The main series of RPGs focus on collecting and battling with the titular robots. The bulk of the games releases have been on Nintendo platforms, including the Game Boy family, Nintendo GameCube, and the DS and 3DS handhelds.

MegaMan NT Warrior, known in Japan as Rockman.EXE , is an anime and manga series based on Capcom's Mega Man Battle Network video game series, part of the Mega Man franchise. The manga series was written by Ryo Takamisaki and ran in Shogakukan's CoroCoro Comic between 2001 and 2006. The anime series, produced by Xebec, ran for five seasons on TV Tokyo in Japan between March 2002 and September 2006, reaching 209 episodes in total. Viz Media produced English-language versions of the manga and licensed the first two seasons of the anime. Despite common elements, the stories of the game, anime, and manga versions of the Battle Network series all diverge heavily from each other.

Mobile Suit Gundam AGE is a 2011 Japanese science fiction anime television series and the twelfth installment in Sunrise's long-running Gundam franchise. The series was first announced in the July issue of Shogakukan's CoroCoro Comic, and has gaming company Level-5's President Akihiro Hino in charge of the story.

Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam is a 1985 Japanese television anime series, the second installment in the Gundam franchise, and a sequel to the original Mobile Suit Gundam. The show was created and directed by Yoshiyuki Tomino, with character designs by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, while the series' mechanical designs is split among Kunio Okawara, Mamoru Nagano, and Kazumi Fujita. The series was originally aired on Nagoya Broadcasting Network and its sister ANN stations between 1985 and 1986.

Perman is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by the manga artist duo Fujiko Fujio about a clumsy boy, Mitsuo Suwa, who is chosen to apprentice to a powerful superhero to save the world along with other superheroes. The first manga series was serialized(There are total 8 vol.)in Weekly Shōnen Sunday from 1967 to 1968, and the second was serialized in CoroCoro Comic from 1983 to 1986. The first anime series was first produced in black and white in 1967. The second anime series was made in color in 1983 and films were released in 1983, 1984, 1985, 2003 and 2004.

Pokémon Adventures is a Japanese manga series based on the Pokémon media franchise created by video game designer Satoshi Tajiri and managed by The Pokémon Company. Tajiri once stated that the series is closest to how he imagined the universe of Pokémon to be.

Pocket Monsters is one of the first Pocket Monsters manga to come out in Japan and ran for 13 volumes. In Singapore it was published by Chuang Yi in English in 2005 and it was retitled Pokémon Pocket Monsters. While the first series is set in Kanto, and then Johto, new series were released based on Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos and Alola. The author is Kosaku Anakubo.

The Pokémon Graphic Novel, more commonly known as Pokémon: The Electric Tale of Pikachu is a Japanese manga series created by Toshihiro Ono and serialized in the Children's manga magazine CoroCoro Comic. Individual chapters were collected into four tankōbon volumes by Shogakukan, who released the first volume on October 28, 1997 and the fourth volume on January 28, 2000. The characters and storylines are all drawn from the Pokémon anime series, although some events and depictions of characters diverge slightly from the anime, and the world itself has a visibly higher level of technology.

Rakudai Ninja Rantarō is a comedy ninja manga series created by Sōbē Amako in 1986. The anime adaptation, Nintama Rantarō, began broadcasting on NHK in 1993 and a side-story anime film Eiga Nintama Rantarō premiered in 1996. Several Nintama Rantarō video games were also published since 1995.

Rascal the Raccoon is a Japanese animated series by Nippon Animation. It is based on the 1963 autobiographical novel Rascal, A Memoir of a Better Era by Sterling North.

Speed Racer, also known as Mach GoGoGo , is a Japanese media franchise about automobile racing. Mach GoGoGo was originally serialized in print in Shueisha's 1966 Shōnen Book. It was released in tankōbon book form by Sun Wide Comics and later re-released in Japan by Fusosha. Adapted into anime by Tatsunoko Productions, its 52 episodes aired on Fuji TV from April 1967 to March 1968. The anime was later re-broadcast on Tokyo MX from July 1 to September 25, 2008.

Spider-Man J is a manga by Yamanaka Akira. It ran in the children's magazine, Comic BomBom, from November 9, 2004 to May 11, 2005. The manga is in no way connected to Ryoichi Ikegami's Spider-Man: The Manga.

The first of many series in the Transformers franchise, it was based upon Hasbro's Transformers toy line and depicts a war among giant robots that can transform into vehicles and other objects.

Transformers: The Headmasters is a Japanese anime television series that is a part of the Transformers robot superhero franchise. It aired from July 1987 to March 1988, and its 17:00-17:30 timeslot was used to broadcast Mashin Hero Wataru at the end of its broadcast.

Yo-kai Watch is a mixed-media franchise of role-playing video games and toys, created and developed by Level-5. The first game in the series was released for the Nintendo 3DS in 2013. 3 main sequels and several spinoffs, on both Nintendo and mobile platforms, have been released. In December 2019, they expanded to PlayStation with the release of Yo-kai Watch 4++.
