Cinderalla , also known as Junko Mizuno's Cinderalla, is a fantasy-horror manga written and illustrated by Junko Mizuno. It was published by Koushinsya; later an English version was released by Viz Media in 2002. It is one in a line of her new version on old fairy tales, the others are Hansel & Gretel and Princess Mermaid. In the English book there is an interview between Izumi Evers and Junko Mizuno. Andy Nakatani has translated the interview into English.

Corpse Princess is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yoshiichi Akahito. Grand Guignol Orchestra is a gothic horror shōjo manga series written and illustrated by Kaori Yuki. It was serialized in Fujimi Shobo's Monthly Dragon Age between the September 2006 and May 2013 issues, but was left unfinished following Daisuke Satō's death in March 2017. Fujimi Shobo and Kadokawa Shoten published seven tankōbon volumes from March 2007 and April 2011 in Japan. Yen Press published the series in North America. The story follows a group of high school students caught in the middle of a zombie apocalypse.

Hour of the Zombie is a manga series written and illustrated by Tsukasa Saimura. It is set at a high school where students suddenly become zombies. The manga was serialized in Tokuma Shoten's manga magazine Monthly Comic Ryū beginning in 2014. The series ended in the final print issue of Comic Ryū on May 19, 2018. The manga is licensed in the United States by Seven Seas Entertainment.

I Am a Hero is a Japanese zombie manga series written and illustrated by Kengo Hanazawa. There are five different manga adaptations based on the universe of Kore wa Zombie Desu ka?. A 12-episode anime adaptation produced by Studio Deen aired in Japan from January 11, 2011 to March 31, 2011 on TV Saitama and other networks. A second season, titled Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? of the Dead , aired in Japan from April 5, 2012 to June 7, 2012 on Tokyo MX and other networks.

Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress is an anime series by Wit Studio. The series was directed by Tetsurō Araki and written by Ichirō Ōkouchi, with music by Hiroyuki Sawano and original character designs by Haruhiko Mikimoto. The series premiered on Fuji TV's Noitamina block on April 8, 2016, and ended on June 30, 2016, with a total of 12 episodes. A prologue for the anime premiered for a week in theaters across Japan starting March 18, 2016. Amazon streamed the series on their Amazon Prime Instant Video service. Two compilation films premiered in Japanese theaters on December 31, 2016, and January 7, 2017. Crunchyroll and Funimation co-released the anime on Blu-ray and DVD in the United States; Crunchyroll also acquired the merchandise rights.

Magical Girl Apocalypse, known in Japan as Magical Girl of the End , is a Japanese action-horror magical girl shōnen manga series written and illustrated by Kentarō Satō. It began publication in July 2012 in the manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Champion, published by Akita Shoten, and has been compiled into sixteen tankōbon volumes as of September 2017. The series is published in North America by Seven Seas Entertainment. A spin-off series called Magical Girl Site was later made that shares the same themes.

Reiko the Zombie Shop is a Japanese manga series by Rei Mikamoto, chronicling the exploits of Reiko Himezono, a teenage "zombie shop", or a "...necromancer-for-hire employed by bereaved families to resurrect departed loved ones for a short time so that the dead may impart their final truths to the living." Eleven tankoubon have been released by Bunkasha Comics. Six volumes have been released in English by Dark Horse Comics, translated by Michael Gombos. However, according to Dark Horse, the series' English publication has been discontinued.
