The ending credits version also has Awkwafina, who stars in the film as Peik Lin, rapping on the song. Cheryl was discovered by the film's director Jon M. Chu who saw her singing a 15-second a cappella cover of Jessie J's "Mamma Knows Best" on YouTube and offered her the job.

Nur Hazwani Afiqah binti Helmi is a Malaysian singer-songwriter, TV host, model, and humanitarian activist. Widely known as a Muslimah Beatboxer, she started writing songs at the age of 13 after a week of guitar lessons. Hazwani's first piece titled “Jom Zikir” which was written by herself was featured in her sister, Heliza Helmi's album #JOM and was sang by Heliza herself in 2013. She started her career in entertainment industry at an early age, and was known as one of the youngest composers at that time. She was a runner in Astro Oasis' reality TV show, “Gema Gegar Vaganza” season 2 in 2018. She also made a cameo appearance on Tazkirah Malam Jumaat (2018).
