
Aama Samuha is a Nepalese voluntary group formed to raise awareness about gender equality, issues affecting women and social issues. It was started in Western Nepal by the Gurung people because Gurung men would leave Nepal to join the British Army, and lately the Indian Army. Aama Samuha was originally started to "sing, dance and organise cultural activities in the evening".

Agroforestry, Basic Health, and Cooperative Nepal is a nonprofit, non governmental organisation working in Nepal that focuses on women's rights and works against human trafficking in Nepal. Created in 1987, ABC Nepal was among the first Non Governmental Organisations established in Nepal. It was registered sobn after the introduction of Nepalese multiparty democracy in 1991. The president of the organisation is Durga Ghimire.

Maiti Nepal is a non-profit organization in Nepal dedicated to help the victims of human trafficking. Currently, it operates a rehabilitation home in Kathmandu, as well as transit homes at the Indo-Nepal border towns, preventive homes in the countryside and an academy in Kathmandu.

Martin Chautari is non-profit organization of Nepal established to allow development professionals and academics to meet every two weeks to share their insights and experiences about various current social issues.

Mount Everest Foundation is a non-political, non-sectarian, non-governmental, non-profit making humanitarian organization. MEF/Nepal is registered in the District Administration Office of Kathmandu under the Social Organization Act of His Majesty's Government of Nepal. The main focus of the Foundation is to encourage the Nepalese people to become more dynamic, viable, effective and self-reliant towards socio-economic development and the environment.

The National Museum of Nepal is a popular attraction of the capital city of Kathmandu. About a century old, the museum stands as a tourist destination and historical symbol for Nepal. Being the largest museum of the country of Nepal, it plays an important role in nationwide archaeological works and development of museums. For the residents of Kathmandu, the monument serves to relive the battles fought on the grounds of Nepal. The main attractions are collection of historical artworks and a historical display of weapons used in the wars in the 18-19th century. The museum has separate galleries dedicated to statues, paintings, murals, coins and weapons. It has three buildings — Juddha Jayatia Khate Sala, Buddha Art Gallery and the main building which consists of natural historical section, cultural section and philatelic section.

Partnership for Poverty Action (PFPA) is a non-profit NGO based in Nepal, which aims to create socio-economic opportunities to the poor, excluded and marginalized people and communities in Nepal. PFPA was established in 2012 and formally registered with District Administrative Office (DAO), Kaski, Nepal.

Shakti Samuha is a non-profit organisation working against women trafficking. It is based in Nepal and was formed by the survivors of women trafficking in India. The organisation is a recipient of the Ramon Magsaysay Award 2013.

The Sushil Koirala Memorial Foundation was founded in 2016 as a memorial to the late Prime Minister of Nepal, Sushil Koirala, with the stated mission to "Empower communities through idea propagation dedicated to strategic thinking based on the principles of democracy, socio-economic reform and open society".
