The firm takes its name from Cantabrigia, the medieval Latin name for Cambridge. It is regulated in the UK by the Financial Conduct Authority. Cantab Capital Partners was acquired by GAM in 2016 and is since part of GAM Systematic.

Glenview Capital Management is a hedge fund founded in 2000 with approximately $7.7 billion of capital under management as of March 2019. Glenview manages capital for investors through a series of private investment funds. The firm was founded by Larry Robbins, the firm's CEO and portfolio manager, and is based in New York.

Institutional Investor magazine is a monthly periodical published by Euromoney Institutional Investor. It was founded in 1967 by Gilbert E. Kaplan. A separate international edition of the magazine was established in 1976 for readers in Europe and Asia. Capital Cities Communications purchased the magazine in 1984. The Walt Disney Company bought Capital Cities in 1996 and sold the magazine to Euromoney a year later. Institutional Investor has offices in New York City, London and Hong Kong. In 2018, Institutional Investor became digital only.

Institutional Shareholder Services Inc. (ISS) is a proxy advisory firm. Hedge funds, mutual funds and similar organizations that own shares of multiple companies pay ISS to advise regarding share holder votes. It is the largest such firm, with over 61 percent of the business.

F2i – Fondi italiani per le infrastrutture SGR S.p.A. is Italy's largest independent infrastructure fund manager, with assets under management of approximately €5 billion. It currently manages three funds: F2i Second Fund, and F2i Third Fund and the Ania F2i Fund. The First Fund was successfully closed in December 2017.
