
Progressive Democratic Party of Afghanistan is a political party in Afghanistan, founded in 1966. It was led by Mohammad Hashim Maiwandwal, who was prime minister from 1965-1967.

The Akbayan Citizens' Action Party, better known as Akbayan, is a democratic socialist and progressive political party in the Philippines. Akbayan is noted as a leading member of the democratic left in the Philippines, having been formed in 1998 by a variety of political organizations ranging from social democrats, democratic socialists, Marxists, and independent socialists.

The Auyl People's Patriotic Democratic Party or simply as Auyl, is a political party in Kazakhstan. It was originally founded by Gani Qaliev on 30 January 2000 as the Auyl Peasant Social Democratic Party before eventually merging with the Party of Patriots of Kazakhstan on 5 September 2015. The party is currently led by Senator for Turkistan Region Äli Bektaev from August 2015. With a membership of around 300,000 people, the Auyl since 2004 has participated in every Kazakhstan's parliamentary elections although never managing to enter the Mazhilis and has once nominated presidential candidate Toleutai Raqymbekov in 2019 presidential elections.

The Azerbaijani Social Democratic Party (ASDP) is an Azerbaijani political party led by the former President of Azerbaijan Ayaz Mutalibov. At the elections held on 5 November 2000 and 7 January 2001, the party won less than 1% of popular vote and failed to gain seats in the parliament. It promotes secularism and social democracy

The Bhutan Kuen-Nyam Party is a social-democratic political party in Bhutan. Its current President since May 2017 is Dasho Neten Zangmo, who took over from Sonam Tobgay, the President from 2013 to 2017.

The China Association for Promoting Democracy is one of the eight legally recognised minor political parties in the People's Republic of China that follow the direction of the Chinese Communist Party and is a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. It was formed on 30 December 1945, and mainly represents high-level intellectuals engaged in education and cultural publishing media. It holds seats in the National People's Congress of China.

The China Democratic League is one of the eight legally recognised minor political parties in the People's Republic of China under the Chinese Communist Party's United Front. The CDL was originally founded in 1941 as an umbrella coalition group of the Chinese National Socialist Party, the Chinese Youth Party and the Chinese Peasants' and Workers' Democratic Party to fight the Imperial Japanese Army while providing for a "Third Way".

The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam is a social-democratic and Dravidianist political party in the state of Tamil Nadu and the union territory of Puducherry. It is one of the two main political parties in Tamil Nadu, along with the rival All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam. Since the 2021 state election, it has been the ruling party of Tamil Nadu.

The Druk Chirwang Tshogpa was a Bhutanese political party. It was registered on January 7, 2013. In the primary round of the 2nd National Assembly elections held in 2013, the DCT had 12,457 votes and came fourth place, not winning in any constituency, and so could not take part in the final round. The Election Commission of Bhutan announced on February 26, 2018 that the Party was being deregistered on its own request. The party then merged with Druk Phuensum Tshogpa.

Druk Nyamrup Tshogpa, formerly the Social Democratic Party is one of the five registered political parties in Bhutan. It was registered on 20 January 2013. The DNT has been Bhutan's governing party since the 2018 National Assembly election, in which the party won a majority of the seats.

The Korean Social Democratic Party (KSDP) is a political party in North Korea, allied with the ruling Workers' Party of Korea. It was formed on 3 November 1945 as the Korean Democratic Party by medium and small entrepreneurs, merchants, handicraftsmen, petite bourgeoisie, some peasants and Christians, out of anti-imperialist and anti-feudal aspirations and demands to eliminate the legacy of Japanese rule and to build a democratic society. The party came more under the influence of the government over time and today is a part of the Democratic Front for the Reunification of Korea, a nominal alliance of parties dominated by the ruling Workers' Party of Korea.

The Krishak Sramik Party was a major anti-feudal political party in the British Indian province of Bengal and later in the Dominion of Pakistan's East Bengal and East Pakistan provinces. It was founded in 1929 as the Nikhil Banga Praja Samiti to represent the interests of tenant farmers in Bengal's landed gentry estates. Sir Abdur Rahim (judge) was its first leader. A.K. Fazlul Huq was elected leader in 1935 when the former was appointed as the president of the Central Legislative Assembly of India. In 1936, it took the name of Krishak Praja Party and contested the 1937 election. The party formed the first government in the Bengal Legislative Assembly. After the partition of British India, it was reorganized as the Krishak Sramik Party to contest the 1954 election, as part of the United Front. The coalition won the election and formed the provincial government in the East Bengal Legislative Assembly.

The Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan, also known as the Kurdish Democratic Party of Iran (KDPI), is an armed leftist ethnic party of Kurds in Iran, exiled in northern Iraq. It is banned in Iran and thus not able to operate openly.

The Loktantrik Samajbadi Party, is the sixth largest political party in Nepal. The party was officially announced and registered at Election Commission, Nepal on 18 August 2021. Mahantha Thakur is the president of the new party. As of August 2021, the party is a junior ally in the Nepali Congress-led Deuba government along with CPN(Maoist Centre), PSP-N, and CPN-UML(Socialist). The party's election symbol is a bicycle.

The Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party was a political party in Mongolia which was founded in 2010 by Nambaryn Enkhbayar. The party received approval to use the Mongolian People's Party's old name by the Supreme Court of Mongolia. Enkhbayar, former chairman of the original MPRP and a former President of Mongolia, was the party's leader. It merged back into the Mongolian People's Party in 2021.

The Pashtoons Social Democratic Party is the unity and independence party of all Pashtuns, a social democratic political party in Afghanistan and Pakistan, near the Afghan border, and the headquarters of PSDP is in Pashtunistan and its various units act for party throughout the whole area of Pashtunistan. The party was founded in February 1981 by Kabir Stori, a German-educated Afghan intellectual from Kunar, who was a follower of the non-violent philosophy of Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan for national unity, independence and the well-being of the entire Pashtun Nation. The party does not recognize the Durand Line and believes in the Greater ("Loy") Afghanistan.

The Partido Demokratiko Pilipino–Lakas ng Bayan, abbreviated as PDP–Laban, is a left-wing socialist political party in the Philippines founded in 1982 and it has been the ruling party since 2016 under the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte.

The Republican People's Party is the oldest political party in Turkey, founded by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the first president and founder of Modern Turkey. The party is also cited as “the founding party of modern Turkey". The CHP describes itself as a ''modern social-democratic party, which is faithful to the founding principles and values of the Republic of Turkey". Its logo consists of the Six Arrows, which represent the foundational principles of Kemalism: republicanism, reformism, laicism, populism, nationalism, and statism. It is currently the main opposition party in the Grand National Assembly against the ruling conservative AKP, with 136 MPs.

Syriac Union Party in Syria is a secular Assyrian/Syriac political party in Syria that represents the interests of Syrian-Assyrians and their communities in Syria and is committed to the Dawronoye modernization ideology. Established on 1 October 2005, since the start of the Syrian Civil War it has positioned itself on the side of secular, democratic, socialist and federalist Kurdish forces in Rojava, skeptical of both the Ba'athist Syrian government of Bashar al-Assad and the Syrian National Coalition.

The Syrian Democratic People's Party is a centre-left, democratic opposition party in Syria. It is a member of the Syrian opposition, a member of the National Democratic Rally, and a participant in the Damascus Declaration.

The Terai Madhesh Loktantrik Party was a political party in Nepal, formed by former Minister and Nepali Congress national treasurer Mahantha Thakur. This party was once the biggest Madhesh based party with a strong base in Terai region of Nepal. The foundation of the party was announced on December 27, 2007. This party was made by Thakur with a popular slogan "Mare to Multi, jiye to Madhesh" meaning if I will live, I will fight for Madhesh and if I will get salvation. This was very popular and is popular till date. The party had four members in the interim parliament including Thakur.

The United Democratic Front (UDF) is an alliance of Centre to centre-left political parties in the Indian state of Kerala. It is one of the two major political alliances in Kerala, the other being CPI(M)-led LDF, each of which has been in power alternately for the last four decades. UDF has won elections to the State Legislature of Kerala in the years 1982, 1991, 2001, and 2011. its predecessor United Front (1970–79) had won two consecutive terms for first time in the political history of Kerala, by gaining the elections of 1970 and 1977. The alliance currently acts as the opposition in the state legislature of Kerala post-May 2016 election.

The Watan Party of Afghanistan is a non-registered, secular, social-democratic and democratic socialist political party in Afghanistan.

The Workers' Party of Singapore, commonly known as the Workers' Party, is a major centre-left political party in Singapore and is one of the three contemporary political parties represented in parliament, alongside the ruling People's Action Party (PAP) and the opposition Progress Singapore Party (PSP). It is currently the largest opposition party in parliament. It is also one of the oldest parties active in the country, having contested every parliamentary election since 1959. The WP is the only political party other than the ruling PAP with elected constituency MPs in parliament since 2011.
