CS Energy is an Australia-based electricity generating company fully owned by the Government of Queensland with its head office located in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. The company was established in 1997 and employs more than 500 staff. Jim Soorley is the board chairman. The Chief Executive Officer is Andrew Bills.

The Electricity Generation Company is the largest electric power company in Turkey. Owned by the government, it produces and trades electricity throughout the country.

Energex is an Australian-based wholly Queensland Government owned electricity company distributing power to 1.5 million homes and businesses in South East Queensland. The boundaries of the company’s distribution area stretch from Coolangatta in the south to Gympie in the north and as far west as the foothills of the Toowoomba range.

Ergon Energy Network is a subsidiary company of Energy Queensland Limited (EQL) a Government owned corporation owned by the Government of Queensland. It distributes electricity to around 763,000 customers across Queensland, excluding South East Queensland through a distribution network regulated by the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) who set the prices that Ergon is allowed to charge for distribution.

Essential Energy is a state-owned electricity infrastructure company which owns, maintains and operates the electrical distribution networks for much of New South Wales, covering 95 percent of the state geography. It also owns the reticulated water network in Broken Hill through Essential Water, formerly Australian Inland Energy and Water.

GAIL (India) Limited is a government owned natural gas corporation responsible for natural gas processing and distribution in India headquartered in GAIL Bhawan New Delhi, India. It is under the ownership of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India. It has the following business segments: natural gas, liquid hydrocarbon, liquefied petroleum gas transmission, petrochemical, city gas distribution, Renewable Energy including Solar & Wind, exploration and production, Petrochemicals, GAILTEL and electricity generation. GAIL was conferred with the Maharatna status on 1 Feb 2013, by the Government of India. Only 10 other Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs) enjoy this coveted status amongst all central CPSEs. GAIL (India) Limited, the country’s Natural Gas leader, has figured in the Forbes list of World’s Best Employers 2020. Only 31 Indian companies in the list featuring 750 companies from 45 countries, with just nine Indian Public Sector Entities making the cut. It is ranked 5th among Indian PSEs. GAIL is listed in 45th position among INDIA 100 2021 RANKING of most valuable and strongest Indian brands. It is ranked 6th among Indian PSUs.

MEPSO Electricity Transmission System Operator of North Macedonia is a state-owned transmission system operator company for electricity with headquarters in Skopje, North Macedonia. It was founded in 2005 after being split from Elektrostopanstvo na Makedonija (ESM) and it is specialized in the transmission of electrical power. It is a member of the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity.

Powerlink Queensland is an electricity transmission system operator owned by the Government of Queensland which operates the high-voltage electricity transmission infrastructure in Queensland.

Saudi Electricity Company is the Saudi electric energy company. It enjoys a monopoly on the generation, transmission and distribution of electric power in Saudi Arabia through 45 power generation plants in the country. In 2019 SEC was ranked by Forbes as the 5th largest company in the Kingdom, and the 578 worldwide, with total annual sales of $17.1 billion.

Synergy (electricity corporation)

Synergy is a corporation owned by the Government of Western Australia. Synergy is Western Australia’s largest energy retailer and generator with more than one million industrial, commercial and residential customers, generating total annual revenue of more than $3.2 billion.

Vattenfall is a Swedish multinational power company owned by the Swedish State. Beyond Sweden, the company generates power in Denmark, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.

Western Power is a statutory corporation established by the Electricity Corporations Act 2005 (WA). It is owned by the State Government of Western Australia and is accountable to the Minister for Energy. It is responsible for building, maintaining and operating the electricity network within the South West Interconnected System (SWIS), the poles and wires or energy grid.
