
The Office of the Prime Minister, commonly known as the Prime Minister's Office or PMO, is located in the Office of the Prime Minister and Privy Council building, facing Parliament Hill, in Ottawa. It is a wholly partisan organization made up of political staff. It exists to support the prime minister in a wide variety of ways, including the provision of policy advice, information gathering, communications, planning, and strategizing, and is headed by the principal secretary, the chief of staff, or another key advisor who has the duty of managing, administrating and co-ordinating the activities of the PMO.

The Chancellery of the Prime Minister of Poland, or KPRM, is the executive office for the Prime Minister of Poland. In addition to serving as the premier's office, the Chancellery oversees the technical, legislative, legal and organizational support for the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers. The Presidency of the Council of Ministers is the cabinet department of the Government of Portugal. Its mission is to provide support to the Council of Ministers, the Prime Minister and the other members of the cabinet organically integrated in the department. It is also responsible for the promotion of inter-ministerial coordination of the various government departments, and it integrates miscellaneous services that are in the direct dependence of the Prime Minister or that do not sit well in other departments.
