He has recently been recognised by a Kenyan online magazine as having one of the top 10 most iconic male voices in his home country. In 2014 he was nominated to be a part of the Global Accelerator Conference for entrepreneurs organised by the UN Foundation in New York City. He is also a 2013–2014 Global Health Corps fellow

Judith Nyambura Mwangi, better known by her mononym Avril, is a Kenyan singer-songwriter, actress and entertainer. She was formerly signed to Ogopa Deejays, one of the leading music production and record labels in Kenya. As a singer, she is popularly known for her singles "Mama", "Kitu Kimoja", "Chokoza" and "Hakuna Yule". As an actress, she is best known for playing Miss B'Have on Shuga: Love, Sex, Money (2012). Avril's contributions to the Kenyan entertainment industry have earned her one Nzumari Award, one Kisima Music Award, one Golden Mic Award and two Chaguo La Teeniez Awards.

Elly Mathayo Okatch, better known as Okatch Biggy (1954–1997) was a Kenyan benga musician. His first single "Helena Wang’e Dongo, released in 1992 brought him into the limelight.

Jacob Obunga popularly known as Otile Brown is a Kenyan independent R&B singer, songwriter, guitarist and actor.He gained media attention after the release of his hit single "Imaginary Love" which features Khaligraph Jones.He released his debut studio album, Best of Otile Brown, in April 2017. The album was supported by the singles "Basi", "Alivyonipenda", "Shujaa Wako", "DeJavu" and "Aiyolela". Brown had also collaborated with artists such as Sanaipei Tande, and Barakah The Prince, King Kaka among others.

Kelvin Peter Wanjohi professionally known as DJ Fita, is a Kenyan DJ, music producer and music journalist from Thika. He is best known for remixing Kenyan pop music into upbeat electronic dance music. DJ Fita is also a member of Fitemba. He was nominated for the VJ of the Year 2015 during the annual Stylus DJ Awards.

James "Jim" Wathigo Mburu,, better known by his stage names Jimwat and Jimweezy, is a Kenyan genge rapper.

Paul Julius Nunda, better known by his stage name Jua Cali, is a Kenyan hip hop artist. In 2000, together with record producer Clemo, he founded Calif Records where he has been ever since. Jua Cali performs in Swahili and Sheng in a popular Kenyan style of rapping called genge.

Eystone A. Mukubi pronounced (Estone) popularly known as MALUDA born 2 September 1988 is an African hip hop artiste from Nairobi, Kenya and currently based in Kenya. MALUDA gained recognition in the music industry while he was still a member of gospel rap group ETERNAL MC'S. Having been born and raised in Nairobi's inner city MALUDA opted to start rapping as opposed to many of his peers who chose a life of crime.
Mbuvi is a Kenyan award-winning contemporary gospel singer, comedian, and TV presenter. Born Victor Mbuvi, he drew his love for music from his childhood and inspiration from his mother who died in 1999, a year before Mbuvi launched his music career. Mbuvi joined a group called His Image, who performed a cappella and various renditions of other artistes’ works. We even modernised a Luo gospel folk song Niwara Nono. In 2001, he briefly teamed up with music producer R Kay and a friend to form Injili Group, which recorded Nisamehe – his first ever hit song.

Jean-Pierre Nimbona, also referred to as Kidum, is a Nairobi-based musician. He was named Best Male Artist of East Africa at the 2012 Kora Awards. He was named as an Ambassador for Peace, a position that helps to foster hope and reconciliation in East Africa.

Carol Atemi Oyungu is a Kenyan singer, songwriter and entertainer. She first made her mark by being in the girl band Intu until 2007 when they each decided to go solo. In 2003, she joined Eric Wainaina, as an assistant vocal harmony provider for his band. Oyungu released her first single "Happy" in 2004 and her debut album Hatimaye in 2008, and her second studio album Manzili in 2013.

Pace Kenya ,(Ian Gituku) is a melodious rapper, singer, audio engineer from Kenya. He started music at a very early age of 14 years playing the piano in his primary school, Gilgil Hills and proceeded to better his musical career onto his secondary school years. Pace worked as a solo artist at Studio 15 and then joined J.M.E Records in 2010 to release his first song Go Bananas. The song won the hearts of his friends and schoolmates who encouraged him to do music full-time.

Petra Yolanda Sonia Bockle known professionally as Petra, is a rapper, songwriter and singer of Kenyan and Seychellois descent. She performs in both Swahili and English, sometimes switching back and forth. She cites 2Pac, Eminem, MC Lyte and Lil' Kim as her musical influences.

George Ramogi (1945–1997) was a Kenyan musician, who empowered the traditional luo benga and rumba genre of music. Ramogi was known for his spur of the good life and his notable appearances at bars and clubs in western Kenya-Nyanza region. During the beginning of his career. Ramogi is believed to have been the real force behind “benga” as a genre.

Harun "Aaron" Kimathi Rimbui is a Kenyan pianist, keyboardist, bandleader, producer, festival curator and radio host. He is regarded as one of East Africa's finest pianists

Simon Njoroge, popularly known as Shrekeezy, was a Kenyan advertising strategist. He has also been largely involved in art and entertainment as a radio host, TV presenter, rapper, DJ and Entertainment Executive. He first gained major attention for his successful online radio show Shrekeezy Live which was later taken up as a daily radio show on Hero Radio Kenya after gaining over 40,000 fans on social media. As a marketing executive at Hero Radio, Simon developed huge interest on Internet marketing and took part-time classes with Chartered Institute of Marketing. During this period, he played a major role in marketing muicbook.com, a social networking site that was founded by his colleague and close friend Samuel Keige. The site was however sold to Afroleo.com. He left Kenya a year later to be the personal assistant of Tanzania-based Indian entrepreneur Nilesh Bhatt. He later that year joined Pilipili Entertainment, a Tanzanian film production company owned by Nilesh Bhatt as the marketing manager. He had since worked as a Digital Strategist in major East African Advertising agencies like Scanad, MetropolitanRepublic, Express DDB and BrandVision Advertising.
