Graphically enhanced versions for the Atari 8-bit family and Atari 7800 were published in 1988 by Atari Corporation.

Flicky is a platform game developed by Sega and released in arcades in May 1984. It was licensed to Bally Midway for distribution in the United States. In Flicky, the player controls the eponymous blue bird and must gather all the small birds called Chirps in each round and bring them safely to the exit. There are cat and lizard enemies which can disperse the Chirps and kill the player, but Flicky can use items on the playing field to protect herself and the Chirps from danger.

This action game stars a caricature of former Prime Minister of Japan, Kakuei Tanaka. The title is actually a play on the Japanese word for Prime Minister, Sōri (総理). I'm Sorry was made after the Lockheed bribery scandals, and satirizes Tanaka's greed by making the goal of the game acquiring gold bars. Despite the game's context in Japanese politics, I'm Sorry was localized to United States arcades.

Teddy Boy Blues – Yohko Ishino is a 1985 arcade game made by Sega. It stars a young boy who is armed with a gun. Each level is an infinitely-repeating maze with several dice. Each die is filled with monsters which hatch out and the player must shoot to shrink, then collect them. If the player does not collect each shrunken monster quickly, it turns into a time-eating bug which flies to the time limit bar and consumes a chunk of it. If you touch one monster or run out of time then you lose a life. The game ends if all lives are lost. There are 50 distinct levels, called "rounds" in the game, even though the counter goes to 99. The player can play through the levels loops infinitely, with no apparent end. There are also "bonus rounds" every so often where the player can shoot colored dice to reveal prizes and increase his or her score.
