
Global Underground is a British record label and compilation series founded in 1996 by Andy Horsfield and James Todd. The label symbolised the international explosion of dance music during the 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s and first manifesto for high-end DJs such as Tony De Vit, Sasha, Paul Oakenfold, John Digweed, Danny Tenaglia, Nick Warren, Dave Seaman, Darren Emerson, James Lavelle, Carl Cox, and Solomun.

Global Underground 005: Tony De Vit, Tokyo is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by Tony De Vit. It was released after his death which occurred on 2 July 1998.

Global Underground 006: John Digweed, Sydney is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by John Digweed. The mix is a retrospective look at a set in Sydney, Australia.

Global Underground 007: Paul Oakenfold, New York is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by Paul Oakenfold. The mix is a retrospective look at a set played at Marc Ballrooms in New York City.

Global Underground 008: Nick Warren, Brazil is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by Nick Warren. The mix is a retrospective look at a set in São Paulo, Brazil.

Global Underground 009: Sasha, San Francisco is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by Sasha. It was released on 9 November 1998 through the label Boxed in the UK, and Thrive in the US, where the release was numbered 003. "Hale Bopp" is omitted, reducing the number of tracks on the US version to 26.

Global Underground 010: Danny Tenaglia, Athens is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by Danny Tenaglia. The mix is a retrospective look at a set in Athens, Greece.

Global Underground 011: Nick Warren, Budapest is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by Nick Warren. The mix is a retrospective look at a 4-hour set at the Korona club in Kecel, Hungary.

Global Underground 012: Dave Seaman, Buenos Aires is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by Dave Seaman. The mix is a retrospective look at a set at the Pacha club in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Global Underground 013: Sasha, Ibiza is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by Sasha. In a 2019 poll conducted on Global Underground’s website, the album was voted the best in the series.

Global Underground 014: John Digweed, Hong Kong is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by John Digweed. The mix is a retrospective look at a set played at the Regal Kowloon hotel in Hong Kong.

Global Underground 015: Darren Emerson, Uruguay is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by Darren Emerson. The mix is a retrospective look at a set at the La Morocha club in Punta del Este, Uruguay.

Global Underground 016: Dave Seaman, Cape Town is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by Dave Seaman. The mix is a retrospective look at a set in Cape Town, South Africa.

Global Underground 017: Danny Tenaglia, London is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by Danny Tenaglia. The mix is a retrospective look of two sets at Home superclub in London, England.

Global Underground 018: Nick Warren, Amsterdam is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by Nick Warren. The mix is a retrospective look at a set from the Melkweg club in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Global Underground 019: John Digweed, Los Angeles is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by John Digweed. The mix is a retrospective look at a set in Los Angeles, United States.

Global Underground 020: Darren Emerson, Singapore is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by Darren Emerson. The Mix is a retrospective look at a New Year's Eve set at the Zouk club in Singapore.

Global Underground 021: Deep Dish, Moscow is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by Deep Dish in 2001. It is a retrospective of a set they played at Club XIII. The Compilation reached #8 Top Heatseekers, #13 Top Electronic Albums, #31 Independent Albums. 021 is also the area code of Tehran, where Sharam of Deep Dish was born. The back of the CD case states, "This CD is dedicated to all innocent people whose lives have been destroyed by extremists."

Global Underground 022: Dave Seaman, Melbourne is a 2002 DJ mix album in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by Dave Seaman. The album peaked at #8 on the Billboard Top Electronic Albums chart.

Global Underground 023: James Lavelle, Barcelona is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by James Lavelle. The album is mainly breaks and trip hop, which is far different from the progressive house of other albums in the Global Underground series. The album reached #19 on the Billboard Top Electronic Albums chart.

Global Underground 024: Nick Warren, Reykjavik is DJ mix album in the Global Underground series released by Boxed in 2003. It is mixed by Nick Warren and based on his performances in Reykjavík. The first CD is characterized by "ambient and experimental sounds", "trip hop style beats", and "atmospheric reggae grooves", as described by Progressive-Sounds.com. The second CD is much closer to the usual progressive house tracks put forth on the Global Underground series. The album reached #25 on the Billboard Top Electronic Albums chart.

Global Underground 025: Deep Dish, Toronto is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by Deep Dish. The compilation reached the Billboard #1 Top Electronic Albums, #20 Independent Albums, and #29 Top Heatseekers. The release also has two Afterhours mixes, each mixed by Sharam and Dubfire individually.

Global Underground 026: James Lavelle, Romania is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by James Lavelle of UNKLE. The album peaked at #14 on the Billboard Top Electronic Albums.

Global Underground 027: Danny Howells, Miami is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by Danny Howells. It is a retrospective mix of Danny Howell's halloween party at Club Space in downtown Miami. The album peaked at #14 on the Billboard Top Electronic Albums.

Global Underground 028: Nick Warren, Shanghai is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by Nick Warren. The album peaked at #14 on the Billboard Top Electronic Albums. Though Warren was inspired by the Shanghai scene, the album's music came from producers of thirteen different nationalities.

Global Underground 029: Sharam, Dubai is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by Iranian-American DJ and producer Sharam Tayebi of the house music duo Deep Dish.

Global Underground 030: Paris is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by DJ and producer Nick Warren, which was inspired by his performance at the Mix Club in Paris, on 14 October 2006. The album is Warren's seventh release in the Global Underground series.

Global Underground 031: Dubfire, Taipei is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by DJ and producer Ali "Dubfire" Shirazinia, one half of progressive house duo Deep Dish. Dubfire's release follows that of his Deep Dish collaborator, Sharam's solo mix, Global Underground 029: Dubai. Previously, Deep Dish have mixed Global Underground 021: Moscow and Global Underground 025: Toronto, along with Afterclub Mixes. With Taipei, Dubfire sought to make the album about more who he is, as opposed to Deep Dish.

Global Underground 032: Adam Freeland, Mexico City is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by DJ and producer Adam Freeland, a pioneer of the English breakbeat scene. This is the first Global Underground mix for Adam Freeland. The two disc mix album features a wide variety of genres ranging from electropop to breaks to the glitchy techno of James Holden.

Global Underground 033: Layo & Bushwacka!, Rio is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by English electronicDJ and producer duo Layo & Bushwacka!. This set is based on a performance in Rio de Janeiro.

Global Underground 034: Felix Da Housecat, Milan is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series and its first compilation of 2008, compiled and mixed by DJ and producer Felix da Housecat. This is the first Global Underground mix for Felix. It is based on Felix's love for the European fashion centre, Milan. The first disc is more progressive and the second disc is more electroclash.

Global Underground 035: Lima is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by DJ and producer Nick Warren, who claims that the mix is made up entirely of 'exclusive' tracks purportedly inspired by the Peruvian capital Lima.

Global Underground 036: Bogotá is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by DJ and producer Darren Emerson. The entry is Emerson's third in the Global Underground series.

Global Underground 037: Bangkok is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by DJ and producer James Lavelle. The entry is Lavelle's third in the Global Underground series.

Global Underground 038: Black Rock Desert is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by Carl Cox. The album replicates Cox’s mix at The Opulent Temple, a dance event staged as part of the Burning Man festival in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert in 2009. This is Cox's first appearance in the Global Underground series.

Global Underground 004: Paul Oakenfold, Live in Oslo is a double mix CD in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by Paul Oakenfold. The mix was recorded live at Cosmopolite Club in Oslo, Norway, as part of the official launch of the Quart Festival. It showcases Paul Oakenfold's eclectic taste in music at the time, as the mix combines drum and bass, progressive house & trance, trance, and goa trance.

Global Underground 003: Nick Warren, Live in Prague is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by Nick Warren. The set was recorded at a gig in Prague, Czech Republic. This is the second and last live recording in the Global Underground series. The subsequent albums are studio recordings inspired by the live sets in the featured cities.

Global Underground 001: Tony De Vit, Tel Aviv is a DJ mix album in the Global Underground series, compiled and mixed by Tony De Vit. The set was recorded at a gig in the Alenbi 58 club in Tel Aviv, Israel.

GU10 is a triple CD 10th anniversary release from Global Underground Ltd. celebrating their Global Underground series. Discs 1 and 2 feature tracks from the past ten years whereas the third features tracks produced from earlier. Aside from the standard three CD package, there is also a three LP edition as well as a special limited edition which features a bonus unmixed fourth disc.
