
Abra, Kadabra, and Alakazam, known in Japan as Casey , Yungerer , and Foodin , are three Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise that are linked through evolution. Abra evolves into Kadabra after gaining enough experience in battle, and Kadabra evolves into Alakazam after being traded to another trainer. Created by Ken Sugimori, they first appeared in the video games Pokémon Red and Blue and later appear in subsequent sequels. They have appeared in various merchandise, spinoff titles and animated and printed adaptations of the franchise. All are categorized as the Psi Pokémon. Using self-hypnosis, Abra spends 18 hours a day sleeping, unable to utilize its abilities unless rested. This behavior ceases once it evolves into Kadabra, known as the strong psychic that emits alpha waves affected by its current mental state. Able to remember everything since its birth, Alakazam's IQ is around 5000 and can outperform a supercomputer. Alakazam is also one of the handful of Pokémon to be capable of undergoing Mega Evolution, which increases its strength and makes its appearance undergo a few noticeable changes.

Alma Wade is a major antagonist and key figure in the F.E.A.R. series of first-person shooter horror video games by Monolith Productions, introduced in F.E.A.R. in 2005. The plot of the series revolves around the mystery of Alma. She is a psychic who seeks revenge against Armacham Technology Corporation, due to their usage of her in a series of experiments.

Athena Asamiya is a fictional character originally from the former SNK's 1986 video game Psycho Soldier. An esper, Athena is a descendant of Princess Athena from the earlier Athena game. She later appears in The King of Fighters series of fighting games as a member of the Psycho Soldier Team alongside her friend Sie Kensou and her teacher Chin Gentsai. While there have been changes to the team, Athena has been consistently playable in the main series. She was also given her own video game Athena: Awakening from the Ordinary Life, which only released in Japanese regions for the PlayStation in 1999.

Cal Kestis is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise. He is the player character of the 2019 video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, an action-adventure game developed by Respawn Entertainment. Within the series, Cal is a former Jedi Padawan who survived the Great Jedi Purge and went into hiding. Years later, he is detected using the Force and is then led on a journey to rebuild the Jedi Order. He is portrayed through performance capture by American actor and model Cameron Monaghan.

Emily Kaldwin is a fictional character of the Dishonored series. She is a lead protagonist in the sequel, Dishonored 2. In the story of the first game, she is the daughter of the Empress and the player-character, Corvo. When the Empress is assassinated and Emily kidnapped, the player recovers Emily whereupon she serves as a moral compass by expressing herself differently based on the player's proclivity for violence in their gameplay choices. Emily reigns for 15 years leading up to the sequel's story, when she is usurped and escapes to plot her revenge. The developers noted Emily and her relationship with the player as one of the most compelling elements they took to the sequel. Her announcement as its protagonist was unveiled as a surprise and welcomed by games journalists as emblematic of progress for female representation in video games, leading an industry trend towards more prevalent lead female protagonists at the 2015 Electronic Entertainment Expo.

Ermac is a fictional character in the Mortal Kombat fighting game franchise by Midway Games/NetherRealm Studios. The character originated due to rumors over a diagnostics menu listing that displayed the text ERMACS and were followed by claims of an alleged glitch in the first game, which were perpetuated by video game magazine Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM). Due to the growing interest, he was added by the series developers to the roster of playable characters in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, as a red palette swap of Scorpion. Ogre , known in Japan as Toshin , is a fictional character from the Tekken fighting game franchise by Bandai Namco Entertainment. He is introduced in Tekken 3 as an Aztec fighting god who is the game's main villain and final boss, along with his grotesque alter ego, True Ogre. Since his debut, Ogre has featured intermittently in the Tekken series with non-player roles in Tekken 4 as cameo and Tekken 5 in Devil Within Mode, with several appearances in crossover games outside the Tekken franchise. He has received mostly positive critical reception for his design and characterization.

Yu Narukami is the protagonist of Atlus's 2008 role-playing video game Persona 4. In the game, Yu is a silent character whose thoughts and actions are decided by the player. He is portrayed as a high school student who moves to Inaba to live with his uncle and cousin while his parents are busy working. Shortly after arriving to Inaba, Yu starts investigating a murder case alongside his school mates and explores an alternate dimension where he obtains a power known as "Persona" to confront the "Shadows", the creatures who murdered the first victims. Yu has also appeared in other works related to Persona 4, including an anime adaptation called Persona 4: The Animation, a manga version, and several spin-off games. For these works, Yu received his own characterization and development in the stories. He is voiced by Daisuke Namikawa in Japanese and Johnny Yong Bosch in English.
