It was announced on February 11, 2014, that Sony Pictures Worldwide and Lucent Pictures Entertainment would making a new CG-animated film.

Biohazard 4D-Executer is a 2000 Japanese 3D animated biopunk horror film based on the Resident Evil series of survival horror video games. It was created by Capcom in cooperation with Visual Science Laboratory, and distributed by Digital Amuse. Biohazard 4D-Executer was directed by Koichi Ohata, and written by Daisuke Okamoto, who was supervised by the game series developers. A limited release, the 20-minute film has been an attraction in Japanese theme parks since November 2000, and can be seen in movie theaters and smaller booths. The story centers on the mission of a military squad sent to the zombie-infested Raccoon City to locate the whereabouts of Dr. Cameron, a female scientist conducting research on a new type of virus.

Dragon Quest: Your Story is a 2019 Japanese 3D CG anime film based on the Dragon Quest series of video games, adapting the storyline of the 1992 video game Dragon Quest V. It was released in Japan by Toho on August 2, 2019.

Earwig and the Witch is an upcoming Japanese computer-animated television film produced by Studio Ghibli and directed by Gorō Miyazaki, based on the novel of the same name by Diana Wynne Jones. The cast includes Shinobu Terajima, Etsushi Toyokawa, Gaku Hamada, and Kokoro Hirasawa. It is scheduled to air on NHK on December 30, 2020.

Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within is a 2001 computer-animated science fiction film directed by Hironobu Sakaguchi, creator of the Final Fantasy franchise. It was the first photorealistic computer-animated feature film and was the most expensive video game-inspired film until the release of Prince of Persia in 2010. It was released in Japan by Toho on October 14, 2016.

How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World is a 2019 computer-animated action fantasy film loosely based on the book series of the same name by Cressida Cowell, produced by DreamWorks Animation with Dentsu and Fuji Television, and distributed by Universal Pictures. It is the sequel to How to Train Your Dragon 2 (2014) and the third and final installment in the How to Train Your Dragon franchise. Written and directed by Dean DeBlois, the film stars the voices of Jay Baruchel, America Ferrera, Cate Blanchett, Craig Ferguson, and F. Murray Abraham. The film's plot follows Hiccup seeking a dragon utopia called "The Hidden World" while coming to terms with Toothless' new bond with a female Light Fury, as they deal with the threat of a ruthless dragon hunter called Grimmel.

Lupin III: The First is a 2019 Japanese 3DCG comedy action-adventure heist anime film based on the Lupin the Third franchise created by Monkey Punch, to whom the film is dedicated. Marza Animation Planet and TMS Entertainment were the animation studios that brought the 3D venture of Lupin to the big screens. Written and directed by Takashi Yamazaki, the film stars Kanichi Kurita as Lupin III, Kiyoshi Kobayashi as gunman Daisuke Jigen, Daisuke Namikawa as samurai Goemon Ishikawa XIII, Miyuki Sawashiro as Fujiko Mine, and Kōichi Yamadera as Interpol detective Zenigata.

Resident Evil: Damnation, known as Biohazard: Damnation in Japan, is a 2012 Japanese adult animated biopunk horror action film by Capcom and Sony Pictures Entertainment Japan, directed by Makoto Kamiya and produced by Hiroyuki Kobayashi. It is a sequel to Resident Evil: Degeneration and a prequel to the video game Resident Evil 6. The film was released on October 27, 2012 in Japan, premiering in Shinjuku, Tokyo.

Resident Evil: Degeneration, known in Japan as Biohazard: Degeneration , is a 2008 Japanese adult animated biopunk action horror film directed by Makoto Kamiya. It is the first full-length motion capture CG animation feature in Capcom's Resident Evil franchise. The film was made by Capcom in cooperation with Sony Pictures Entertainment Japan. Degeneration made its premiere at the 2008 Tokyo Game Show and was released theatrically on October 17, 2008.

Resident Evil: Vendetta, known as Biohazard: Vendetta in Japan, is a 2017 Japanese adult animated biopunk action horror film set in the same universe as the Resident Evil video games. Produced by Marza Animation Planet and Takashi Shimizu, the film features the characters Chris Redfield, Leon S. Kennedy, and Rebecca Chambers. It is the third CG film, preceded by Resident Evil: Degeneration (2008) and Resident Evil: Damnation (2012), and also the third film with Leon Kennedy as a main character. It was released in Japan on May 27, 2017.

Sonic the Hedgehog is a 2020 action-adventure comedy film based on the video game franchise of the same name published by Sega. The film is directed by Jeff Fowler and written by Pat Casey and Josh Miller. It stars Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic the Hedgehog and Jim Carrey as Doctor Robotnik, as well as James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally, and Neal McDonough. In the film, Sonic teams up with local town sheriff Tom Wachowski to find his lost rings and escape Dr. Robotnik.

Stand by Me Doraemon is a 2014 Japanese 3D computer-animated science fiction comedy drama film based on the Doraemon manga series and directed by Ryūichi Yagi and Takashi Yamazaki. It was released on 8 August 2014. It is the highest-grossing film of the Doraemon franchise. Bang Zoom! Entertainment premiered an English-dubbed version of the film at the Tokyo International Film Festival on 24 October 2014.

Stand by Me Doraemon 2 is a Japanese 3D computer animated science fiction comedy film based on the Doraemon manga series and a sequel to 2014 film Stand by Me Doraemon. Directed by Ryūichi Yagi and Takashi Yamazaki, it is largely based on Doraemon' s 2000 short film Doraemon: A Grandmother's Recollections and shortly based on Doraemon's 2002 short film The Day When I Was Born.

Tekken: Blood Vengeance is a 2011 Japanese 3D computer-animated film based on the Tekken video game series, produced by Digital Frontier and distributed by Asmik Ace Entertainment in association with Bandai Entertainment.
