
The Battle of the Boyne is a 1778 historical painting by the Anglo-American artist Benjamin West. It portrays the Battle of the Boyne which took place in Ireland in 1690. West's depiction of William of Orange on his white horse became the iconic image of liberation from Catholic Ireland; the painting was widely copied and distributed throughout the nineteenth century. The painting itself is at Mount Stewart, Newtownards, Northern Ireland, and is the property of the National Trust.

The painting depicts William Penn entering into the Treaty of Shackamaxon in 1683 with Tamanend, a chief of the Lenape Turtle Clan, under the shade of an elm tree near the village of Shackamaxon in Pennsylvania.

American Commissioners of the Preliminary Peace Agreement with Great Britain, also known as the Treaty of Paris, is a 1783 painting by Benjamin West depicting the United States delegation preparing to further negotiate and sign the 1783 Treaty of Paris and formally end the American Revolutionary War. The eventual signing of the treaty took place on 3 September 1783 at the Hotel York at 56 rue Jacob.
