
Akademia Nauk is a volcano located in the southern part of Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia. The volcano is filled with a few calderas, and the most notable one is known as Karymsky Lake.

Bezymianny is an active stratovolcano in Kamchatka, Russia. Bezymianny volcano had been considered extinct until 1955. Activity started in 1955, culminating in a dramatic eruption on 30 March 1956. This eruption, similar to that of Mount St. Helens in 1980, produced a large horseshoe-shaped crater that was formed by collapse of the summit and an associated lateral blast. Subsequent episodic but ongoing lava dome growth, accompanied by intermittent explosive activity and pyroclastic flows, has largely filled the 1956 crater. The most recent eruption of lava flows occurred in February 2013. An explosive eruption on 20 December 2017 released an ash plume rising to a height of 15 kilometres (49,000 ft) above sea level, which drifted for 320 kilometres (200 mi) NE.

Bliznets is a stratovolcano in central Kamchatka. The volcano is situated on the crest of the central Sredinny Range south-west of Kebeney volcano.

Bolshoy Kekuknaysky is a volcano located in the central part of Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia. It comprises two shield volcanoes: Bolshoy (1301 m) and Kekuknaysky (1401 m). Their lava flows and cinder cones have dammed a valley dissecting the mountain, creating the Bolshoye Goltsovoye and Maloye Goltsovoe lakes. The last eruption occurred at Kekuk Crater, about 7,200 years ago.

Gorely is a large, long-lived shield-type volcano that is currently in an eruptive phase. Prior eruptions occurred in 1980-81 and 1984–86.Several complexes compose the overall volcanic structure: - ancient Pra-Gorely volcano which measures 20–25 km in diameter; - a 12 km diameter caldera; - thick stratum of ignimbrites totaling a volume of 100 km3; - post-caldera eruption cinder cones; - modern edifice – “Young Gorely” composed of three large superimposed cones and 11 associated craters forming a NW-SE trending intra-caldera ridgeline; - a complex of 40 modern subsidiary cones on the slopes of “Young Gorely”.

Gorny Institute, also spelled Gornyi Institut, is a stratovolcano located in the Sredinny Range on Russia's Kamchatka Peninsula. It lies just east of the Titila volcano and north of the Kebeney volcano.

Ichinsky is a large stratovolcano located in the central part of Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia. At 3,607 metres (11,834 ft), it is the highest peak of the Sredinny Range, the central range of the peninsula. Ichinsky is also among the largest volcanoes in Kamchatka, with a volume of about 450 cubic kilometres (110 cu mi).

Damāvand has a special place in Persian mythology and folklore. It is in the middle of the Alborz range, adjacent to Varārū, Sesang, Gol-e Zard, and Mīānrūd. It is near the southern coast of the Caspian Sea, in Amol County, Mazandaran Province, 66 km (41 mi) northeast of the city of Tehran.

As Ostry is the mountain's highest point, the entire mountain is often referred to as "Ostry Tolbachik", not to be confused with Ostry, a separate volcano to the north also on the Kamchatka Peninsula.

Tri Sestry is a stratovolcano located in the central part of Urup Island, Kuril Islands, Russia.

The Tunguska event was a massive explosion that occurred near the Podkamennaya Tunguska River in Yeniseysk Governorate, Russia, on the morning of 30 June 1908 (NS). The explosion over the sparsely populated Eastern Siberian Taiga flattened an estimated 80 million trees over an area of 2,150 km2 (830 sq mi) of forest, and eyewitness reports suggest that at least three people may have died in the event. The explosion is generally attributed to the air burst of a stony meteoroid about 100 metres in size. It is classified as an impact event, even though no impact crater has been found; the object is thought to have disintegrated at an altitude of 5 to 10 kilometres rather than to have hit the surface of the Earth.

Tuzovskiy, also sometimes transliterated as Tuzovsky, is a shield volcano located in the northern part of Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia. It comprises three shield volcanoes from which Tuzovsky is the higher one.

Uksichan is a shield volcano located in the northern part of Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia.

Urataman is a somma volcano located at the northern end of Simushir Island, Kuril Islands, Russia. It overlooks the Brouton Bay which is contained within the crater. The volcano consists of a Pleistocene caldera which contains an andesite cone of Holocene age.

Uzon is a 9 by 12 km volcanic caldera located in the eastern part of Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia. Together with the Geyzernaya caldera it hosts the largest geothermal field in the Kamchatka Peninsula. The calderas were formed in the mid-Pleistocene in several large eruptions that deposited 20–25 km3 of ignimbrite over a wide area. Lake Dalny fills a Holocene maar in the northeast of Uzon Caldera.

Vernadskii Ridge is a volcanic group located in the northern part of Paramushir Island, Kuril Islands, Russia.

Vilyuchik, also known as Vilyuchinsky is a stratovolcano in the southern part of Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia. It is located about 30 kilometres (19 mi) SSW of the closed city of Vilyuchinsk.

Voyampolsky is a volcano located in the northern part of Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia. It is composed of two shield volcanoes, Voyampolsky and Kakhtana. Voyampolsky is the highest one. Headwaters of the Kakhtana River are located nearby.

Zhupanovsky is a volcanic massif located in the southeastern part of Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia. It consists of four overlapping stratovolcanoes. After 54 years of inactivity, the volcano began erupting on October 23, 2013 and again in 2014, continuing nonstop into 2016.
