List of mountains in Kosovo

The mountains of Kosovo belong to Dinarides range. The Plain of Kosovo is on average 550 m (1,804 ft) above the sea level and the Plain of Dukagjini is on average 450 m (1,476 ft) high. The Dinaric Alps in the east and the Šar Mountains in the south are home to the highest peaks in Kosovo rising well over 2,000 m (6,562 ft). The only mountain in the north higher than 2,000 m (6,562 ft) is Kopaonik which rises to 2,017 m (6,617 ft).

Black Peak is a peak of the Šar Mountains located in Kosovo and the Republic of North Macedonia. Black Peak stands at 2,536m above sea level. The famous Brezovica ski resort is situated close to the peak.

Bogićevica

Bogićevica is a mountain area in the Prokletije. It spreads over Albania, Montenegro and Kosovo. It is about 15 km (9 mi) long and 10 km (6 mi) wide. The mountain area has a number of peaks higher than 2,000 m (6,562 ft) and two higher than 2,500 m (8,202 ft). Marijaš and Maja e Ropës are both located in Kosovo. The towns of Deçan in Kosovo and Tropojë in Albania are located near the area.

Đeravica or Gjeravica is the second-highest mountain peak in the Prokletije mountain range and the Dinaric Alps chain, after Maja Jezercë. It is the second-highest mountain in Kosovo, or the second-highest mountain of Serbia, according to the Serbian government position over its status. It has an elevation of 2,656 m (8,714 ft) above sea level. Đeravica is in the western part of Kosovo, in the municipality of Junik. Before the 20th century, Đeravica used to be called Kaluđerovica.

Golesh is a mountain in central Kosovo, 1,019 m (3,343 ft) high, near the town of Kosovo Polje and Pristina International Airport. A branch of the Drenica River originates on the mountain. On the top, there is a FM-/TV-broadcasting centre.

Hajla is a mountain located between Kosovo and Montenegro. It has several peaks that reach over 2,000 m (6,562 ft), the highest having 2,403 m (7,884 ft) which is also called Hajla. In the northern slopes contains the spring formation of the Ibar river, and to its southern slopes is the origin of the Bistrica e Pejes river. Hajla is also the highest mountain in the northern part of the Accursed Mountains of the Balkans. In Kosovo, Hajla forms part of the 25 km (16 mi) long Rugova Canyon. The nearest city to Hajla is Rožaje, in Montenegro.

Isa Aga is a mountain peak in Kosovo and Macedonia. It is part of the Šar Mountains and is found in the middle of the ridge. It is 2,555 m (8,383 ft) high.

Kopranik is a mountain with a height of 2,460m in Kosovo. Kopranik is part of the Prokletije range. At the northern slopes of the mountain is the Rugovska gorge which is a popular tourist destination in the Prokletije and all of Kosovo.

Koritnik is a wooded, limestone mountain, located in northeastern Albania and southwest Kosovo between the cities of Kukës and Prizren. The mountain is entirely surrounded by branches of the White Drin river. The highest point of Koritnik massif, Maja e Pikëllimës reaches an elevation of 2,393 metres (7,851 ft) above the Adriatic. Gryka e Vanavës separates the mountain from Gjallica. The gorge is 3.5 km (2.2 mi) long, 30 m (100 ft) wide, and about 300 m (980 ft) deep.

Koznica is a mountain in eastern Kosovo, near the town of Artana. Its highest peak Gerbesh has an altitude of 1,230 metres (4,040 ft) above sea level. It is part of the Gollak mountains. The city of Pristina is located to the west of the mountain.

Maja Bogiçaj is a peak of the Prokletije. It is located on the border of Kosovo and Albania. Bogiçaj is part of the Bogićevica mountain area and its peak is 2,405 m (7,890 ft) above sea level. One of the closest peaks is Tromeđa which is just found north-west of Bogiçaj peak.

Rops is a mountain in Kosovo with a height of 2,502 metres (8,209 ft). It is a part of Bogićevica area in the Prokletije. It is the second highest mountain in the Bogićevica area after Marijaš at 2,533 metres (8,310 ft).

The White Drin river passes along by it. Mount Pashtrik is the site of annual pilgrimages of residents from Has region of Prizren and Gjakova in Kosovo and from the border area of Albania.

Tromedja is a mountain in the Bogićevica area in the Prokletije range. Its peak which measures a height of 2,366 m (7,762 ft) above sea level forms a boundary between Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro. Albania contains the south of the mountain which is the majority of it, Kosovo the north-east and Montenegro the north-west. There is a valley in the Albanian and Kosovan side of the mountain. The village of Debërdol in Albania is located quite close to the summit.

It reaches a height of 2,590 m (8,497 ft) and is located in the south of the mountain range close to the White Lake. The summit of Trpeznica is flat while its slopes are steep and sometimes rocky especially in the Kosovan side.

The Kopranik mountain are located just east of Žuti kamen. There is a lake near the summit of the mountain, the Guri i Kuq Lake.
