Lake Arlington is man-made, 50-acre (20 ha) detention lake in the Chicago suburb of Arlington Heights, Illinois. The lake's average depth is between 5 and 7 feet.

Lake Arrowhead is an artificial lake located in the San Bernardino Mountains on Little Bear Creek, a tributary of Deep Creek and the Mojave River. It has a surface area of approximately 780 acres (320 ha) and a capacity of 48,000 acre⋅ft (59,000 dam3). It is surrounded by the unincorporated community of Lake Arrowhead in San Bernardino County, California.

Bushy Lake is a small lake located in Sacramento, California along the American River Parkway. The area is part of an ongoing restoration project, it also provides habitat to wildlife and offers nearby recreation opportunities. The area is prone to drought, erosion, species invasion, fire, and groups of transient populations. In the American River Parkway Plan, the lake is designated as a Nature Study Area and further protected by the Bushy Lake Preservation Act.

Capitol Lake is a 3 kilometer long, 260-acre (1.1 km2) artificial lake at the mouth of Deschutes River in Tumwater/Olympia, Washington. The Olympia Brewery sits on Capitol Lake in Tumwater, just downstream from where the Tumwater Falls meet the artificial lake. The Washington State Department of Enterprise Services (DES) manages the lake, as part of The Washington State Capitol Campus.

Churchville reservoir is an man-made freshwater reservoir located in Bucks County, PA. It was created by damming the Mill Creek in 1942 to act as a reserve of municipal water. The reservoir is currently owned by the Aqua Pennsylvania and acts as a reserve of water. Fishing is banned in the reservoir. Churchville Nature Center is located adjacent to the reservoir on Churchville Lane. The reservoir spans 180 acres, and along with the township and nature center, the total area reaches 670 acres.

Lake El Paso is a privately owned lake that was once an entertainment venue for the city of El Paso. The land is now closed to the public due to the inherent dangers of an empty lake and the desert environment. It is currently up for sale by its owners.

Lake Gregory is a reservoir in the San Bernardino National Forest of the San Bernardino Mountains in San Bernardino County, California. The lake and the surrounding area make up the Lake Gregory Regional Park adjacent to Crestline, California.

Lake Henry is a small artificial lake formed by the construction of a dam across Dawson Creek in Bon Homme County, South Dakota, United States, about 0.75 mi (1.21 km) east of the town of Scotland.

Lake Kristi is a private water skiing-site located in Greenville, North Carolina containing two artificial lakes. The lake is named after former water skiing champion Kristi Overton Johnson. Although specifically designed for water skiing, Lake Kristi is also used as a cross country course.

Leaser Lake is a man-made lake located near the village of Jacksonville in Lynn Township, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. The lake is owned by the Commonwealth and managed by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC).

Whitehead Pond, known today as Lime Lake, is a man-made 3-acre (1.2 ha) fresh water pond originally built as a stormwater pond to reduce flooding in the surrounding area. The pond lies at the easternmost edge of 22nd Street in Sarasota, Florida. The pond and its surrounding acreage was originally purchased by Wilmon Whitehead after he returned from World War II in 1947, where he raised his family.

Little Blue Run Lake or Little Blue Run is the largest coal ash impound in the United States. FirstEnergy owns the site, located in Western Pennsylvania and parts of the Northern "Panhandle" of West Virginia, and has disposed of billions of gallons of coal waste into the body of water. Several court cases have been brought against the company as a result of the damage caused by the company's practices at the site.

Little Grass Valley Reservoir is an artificial lake in Plumas County, California and Plumas National Forest near the Pacific Crest Trail.

Lovill's Creek Lake is a man-made lake located in Carroll County, Virginia.

Lucas Oil Speedway is a motorsports racing facility located at the intersection of U.S. Route 54 and Missouri Route 83, in Wheatland, Missouri, United States. Its primary circuit is a dirt track banked oval motorsport race track. Co-located at the site of the speedway is Lucas Lake, a motorboat racing venue, the first purpose-built boat drag racing lake in the world, located across from the track.

Lake Palmer was a man-made lake in Nashville between 16th Ave and 17th Ave, south of Hayes St and north of West End Ave. This was the proposed location of a long-mooted mixed-use construction project near downtown Nashville that failed to materialize for over ten years. Conceived by Nashville-based Alex S. Palmer & Company, the project was originally planned to open in 2007 as the West End Summit, a $300 million project for office space and apartments.

Lake Perris is an artificial lake completed in 1973. It is the southern terminus of the California State Water Project, situated in a mountain-rimmed valley between Moreno Valley and Perris, in what is now the Lake Perris State Recreation Area. The park offers a variety of recreational activities. Because of this and the lake's proximity to major population centers, it is very crowded during the summer months.

Lake Pillsbury is a lake in the Mendocino National Forest of Lake County, California, created from the Eel River and Hull Mountain watershed by Scott Dam. Elevation is 1,818 ft (554 m) with 65 mi (105 km) of shoreline and covering 2,003 acres (811 ha). Activities in the Lake Pillsbury Recreation Area include powerboating, fishing, swimming, sailing, picnicking, hiking and hang gliding. There are two main access roads to the lake. At the north end of the lake is a small gravel airstrip. Over 400 homes including National Forest Recreational Residences ring this beautiful recreational lake.

Lake Piru is a reservoir located in Los Padres National Forest and Topatopa Mountains of Ventura County, California, created by the construction in 1955 of the Santa Felicia Dam on Piru Creek, which is a tributary of the Santa Clara River.

Pyramid Lake is a reservoir formed by Pyramid Dam on Piru Creek in the eastern San Emigdio Mountains, near Castaic, Southern California. It is a part of the West Branch California Aqueduct, which is a part of the California State Water Project. Its water is fed by the system after being pumped up from the San Joaquin Valley and through the Tehachapi Mountains.

The Seven Seas Lagoon is a man-made lake at the Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Florida, near Orlando. Located south of the Magic Kingdom theme park, the Seven Seas Lagoon serves as a natural buffer between the Magic Kingdom and its parking lot and connects with the adjacent Bay Lake. The lake reaches a depth of 14 feet (4.3 m). The lagoon is used mainly for recreational boating, as well as by the resort's three Disney Transport ferryboats that transport guests between the Magic Kingdom and the Transportation and Ticket Center.

The Jefferson Memorial Forest is a forest located in southwest Louisville, Kentucky, in the Knobs region of Kentucky. At 6,500 acres (26 km2), it is the largest municipal urban forest in the United States.
