WCherokee Park is a 409-acre (166 ha) municipal park located in Louisville, Kentucky, United States and is part of the Louisville Olmsted Parks Conservancy. It was designed in 1891 by Frederick Law Olmsted, the father of landscape architecture along with 18 of Louisville's 123 parks. Beargrass Creek runs through much of the park, and is crossed by numerous pedestrian and automobile bridges.
WBeargrass Creek is the name given to several forks of a creek in Jefferson County, Kentucky. The Beargrass Creek watershed is the largest in the county, draining over 60 square miles (160 km2). It is fairly small, with an average discharge of 103 cubic feet per second at River Road in Louisville.
WCardinal Hill Reservoir is a historic site in Jefferson County, Kentucky. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was designed by Chicago architect Victor Andre Matteson. A one-story structure of stone (ashler), it includes Doric pilasters, full entablature, parapet wall, shouldered architraves, quoins, and balustraded stairs. Lights along front bank of old reservoir set on pedestal bases "with tomb-like structures" holding lights at corners.

WCorn Island, earlier known as Dunmore's Island, was a former island in the Ohio River, at head of the Falls of the Ohio, just north of Louisville, Kentucky. Estimates of the size of Corn Island vary with time as it gradually was eroded and became submerged. A 1780 survey listed its size at 43 acres (170,000 m2). At that point it extended from what is now Louisville's Fourth Street to Fourteenth. The first settlement that later became Louisville on the mainland was established on the island in 1778 by George Rogers Clark.

Historic tours and walks have been hosted at the site and it is a popular area for walkers and runners. It is located at the intersection of Reservoir Avenue and 3018 Frankfort Avenue.

WIroquois Park is a 725-acre (3.0 km²) municipal park in Louisville, Kentucky, United States. It was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, who also designed Louisville's Cherokee Park and Shawnee Park, at what were then the edges of the city. Located south of downtown, Iroquois Park was promoted as "Louisville's Yellowstone". It is built on a large knob covered with old growth forest, and its most prominent feature are the scenic viewpoints atop the hill.
